Property is in a good location for visiting Blueridge attractions. Carpet needs to be upgraded. Nothing hot is provided in breakfast meal, just cereal and muffins.

Outside was well maintained, location was excellent. Rooms need some improvement!
Good location. Room was clean. Bathroom sink had no drain stopper and toilet had no seat. Carpet felt damp.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The sink was clocked and retained water. The faucet was squeaking and failing apart. No hangers or microwave or coffee/tea machine in the room. No elevator to the second floor but steep stairs which make it very difficult to go up and down with your luggage. The breakfast was poor (one toe of bagels, one type of muffins and three types of cereal. No option for hot meals at all.
Otherwise, the room was clean and they let us to have one hour late check out, but that pretty much it, which was not enough for the money we pay per night.
Parking was free too.
The property was nice and continental breakfast was good. Bathtub would not drain properly, therefore could not shower. Also walls very thin, could hear the person in the next room talking on his phone. Went to the front desk the next morning when checking out had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the counter to inform them about the drainage problem with the bathtub. A male showed up which I believed to be the owner, I requested a receipt and tried to tell him about the bathtub, he couldn't speak any English, walked away like he was going to get someone, I waited and waited but he never showed back up or any other employee came to the counter, so I left. Due to the staff, hearing people in adjoining rooms, and the bathtub problem, plus other occupants telling about issues with their room, I would not stay there again. Very poor communication.
Reasonable price compared to others in area. Breakfast was bare minimum but what we expected. Overall i would stay there again. And staff was very nice and helpful.
The staff was incredible. Thr place looks like it was recently renovated. The room was cozy, comfortable, and spacious. The cost for the room was very reasonable. We would definitely stay here again.
The room was great, a mostly well-renovated older hotel with a rustic wood theme now. Toilet could have used an update, and sink needed a snake - drained very slowly. But our only real complaint was the service at the front counter when we arrived about 5:30pm. There was no-one at the front counter at first, just a sign saying to call 2 phone #s. So we called both before he walked out from the office, a bell might have been faster. This man took a long time trying to find our reservation, and then told us we had no reservation! Then I explained I'd called a few days earlier to confirm and was told (rudely) that if I had an Expedia confirmation # we had a room and he didn't have to look it up. Standing in the lobby I offered to read him the confirmation #... he looked on his computer again and amazingly found our reservations. No apology, no explanation, just 'cash or charge' next. Nice quiet night in the room, good a/c, and nice and clean. We didn't take advantage of the lobby breakfast in the morning (not having too much confidence in it), then the lady at the counter taking our key cards in the morning was very nice.
Great place to stay. Rooms are super nice. There is no coffee maker or microwave in the rooms but has microwave in lobby. I will be back for another fishing trip
The perfect place to stay with a cabin feel without a cabin price. This is was the cleanest and best smelling place we’ve stay at in a while. We will def be back
Such a nice hotel. Carol was so friendly and helpful. Room was nice and everything worked. Beautiful area. It just had a great vibe. Would highly recommend

A/C was effective, rooms were clean, Administrative staff could use some additional training in hospitality.
Property was nice! Lobby was clean. Room was beautiful and clean! Beds were comfy! Location was fine for our stay. Staff was very friendly. The free breakfast could have been better. Very generic, toast, bagels, cereal, yogurt and juice. Something served hot would have been wonderful to round out our stay. Didn't know there was a fire pit until we were checking out. No other amenities are available. 8/10 would recommend and stay again.
