Was in Gatlinburg for a Volley ball tournament with my Daughter and Granddaughters Property is located off the main road - winding road in the mountains but view was beautiful. Very spacious - kitchen is awesome. Would stay there sgain

Our Gatlinburg Getaway
We were pleased with the Venus Lodge location. Easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, the Smokie Mountains and Dollywood. The property was surrounded by beautiful woods and views. The condo unit #154 was extremely spacious for our family of 3 and had been conventionally cleaned prior to our arrival. We had wished there was a guest book or more information about the sights and activities in the surrounding area. We enjoyed our stay but had some areas of disappointment: unfortunately, previous tenants' disrespect for the owner's property. The carpets and walls had multiple unsightly stains. The balcony which we had hoped to enjoy was tick infested rendering it uninhabitable. WIFI worked well but was unsecure. The overall cleanliness of the elevator/lobby and outdoor sidewalks was poor.

Would not recommend
Wasn't too thrilled about the location. The roads to the property were steep, winding, and very narrow. There was no room for error, if you went off the road even a little you would most likely be dead. Very scary. If there had been any ice or snow we would not have made it to the location. The condo itself smelled terrible the entire time and there was nothing we could do to get the smell out. The beds in both rooms were very small, hard and lumpy. Very difficult to sleep. The master bedroom was extremely small.

Loved the view. Nice large condo. We were disappointed that the ice machine was broken and there was used supplies left in the shower. The carpeting was disgusting.

Very nice!
Everything about the condo was very nice and very clean. It was much larger than expected. Did not expect to have a large dining area with a table that seats six. Beds were comfortable. Absolutely beautiful view from the balcony. However there was only one cart available for loading/unloading that I could not find when leaving. My only other complaint would be the roads getting there are very narrow, dark, and unmarked with no railings. Otherwise could not have asked for a better place to stay!
