This hotel is right by the Red Line Luas. So convenient to the City Center and all the touristy things to do. Staff are so friendly and helpful!!! Amazing breakfast spread. The shower was spacious and beds comfortable and the room was laid out well. There is a Tesco Express just down the street if you need anything. Since it is in the financial district, it is quiet and safe and we had a lovely stay.

Great overnight stay at the hotel. Lovely rooms and high tech lifts with no buttons was cool! Handy to have the coffee shop downstairs. 1 block from the river and a shortish walk into town. Would stay again

Our initial room was too small for a couple and our suitcases, but the staff were accommodating and moved us to a spacious accessible room. Good breakfasts downstairs and easy walking to downtown.

Property was great! Only complaint, which I don’t even think is their fault. But the 2nd half of our 6 night stay the reception area smelled bad of septic. But again, I think that’s just European plumbing. Room smelled just fine! If I’m ever back in Dublin, this will be the place I stay again.

Arrived at 8:30 pm. Was told I had a room with a good view. Room was A area, Ac was off. Turned out on. Could not change settings to below 19 C. There was no cover on the toilet seat. Shower water leaked over bathroom floor. Soapdispenser was not opening. Television did not have news channels. On calling no response. Went down to front desk, Receptionist said she would look into other rooms. Manager came up to fix issues. He got extra towels for bathroom floor, Opned the soap , but could not make BBC 1 or 2 work. There were no entertainment channels on save a few kid ones. Said Ac will not go below 19. But he. managed to open the window so there was some respite from the warmth. 30 minutes after helot, I realized that the sheets were itching Tried removing , rearranging sheets. Itching did not improve. Had the extra towels which I spread on the floor and tried to sleep. Itching no better. Turned off the AC unit.. Sleep was poor. Sheets were over starched and over bleached. Next morning, found that the good view I had been promised was facing a wall. informed the front desk about wanting a different room on returning, Returned in th afternoon to find a busy lobby. Room was being cleaned . Houseeper vcould not o help with TV. She said she would inform maintenance and someone would come by to fix it. No one did. Left the next morning, Expect compensation for 2 itchy nights, lack of toilet seat cover, wet bathroom floor.

This hotel was great! Very comfortable room with nice view of the river. The location is very convenient to the Jeanie Johnston famine ship museum and the Epic emigration museum. While there are several nice pubs and dining options nearby (or just across the bridge) the only downside of the hotel is that it is quite a long walk into the center of most action in town. Helpful staff. I would stay here again.

Considering it’s a four star, I have stayed in better three stars.. chipped paint all around and stains on the walls and drawing, the smell of raw sewage from the plug holes, so I had to keep the toilet door closed and the noise from a fan in the ceiling or air conditioning which was switched off, would start on at six o’clock in the morning and continue through out the day, very noisy…

Great location, luas right on your doorstep. Good for Arena 3. We had problems with our sink , the plug wouldn’t stay down but it was noted and was going to be repaired . They offered us another room but wasn’t really a problem. They didn’t appreciate we were tea drinkers - never enough tea bags ! Staff really helpful and friendly.

Location of hotel is excellent. Hotel and room are well kept and clean. Service in restaurant was a bit slow, starters were nice, fish and chip were terrible. Wide selection for breakfast and value for money.

The hotel was nice, our room was a little dirty and there was a big stain outside the bathroom in the nook that is provided to hang clothes and has the safe that looked like poop... but we arrived with a toddler at night, so we did not even bother complaining. We were there to sleep and shower only. We asked for service on our second day and they gave us towels but didn't do even the beds. So overall the stay was average to mediocre. It's located in a nice location, walking distance to everything, but that is all.

Lovely hotel all round
This hotel is so new my taxi driver had to put it into his satnav to find it. Its new and its obvious. It has been done very nicely to a very high standard and attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable, room nice and bathroom immaculately clean. Food was also very nice and nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again

Very good hotel. I will definitely stay there again. However there was only instant coffee and no water in the room (even a water dispenser in corridor would suffice). Otherwise, a very pleasant stay and highly recommended

Terrible experience
We were really disappointed with our stay at the Samuel. Having previously stayed when it first opened we were looking forward to returning. Our experience was far from good on this occasion. None of the toiletries were refilled from the previous guests so we had no shower gel, little to no hand soap and when we requested some shower gel from reception they took at least 40 mins to bring it to our room. Once it was brought to our room we noticed it was labelled as the hand soap. This was extremely frustrating after waiting so long, we had no time to get this rectified a second time as we had a gig to attend and ended up leaving late after this inconvenience. When we entered the room we noticed that the carpet that ran along one side of the bed was absolutely soaking wet and therefore there was a musky, mouldy smell in the room which was not pleasant. We will not be returning after such a terrible experience. Whilst the hotel is modern and new the service and cleanliness is not on par for what you pay. It’s far from a cheap hotel to stay in and they really fail on the basics.

Nice hotel. Shane about the smell in the room
Nice hotel. Quiet and great location for a gig at the 3arena. The only negative was the room had that vaguely sewage smell that you get when the bathroom drainage system doesn't work properly. It was very noticeable upon entering the room each time.

Check-in not ideal
All great but needed extra staff at peak check-in time. Long wait as only one staff member rostered. That staff member had to deal with check-ins, late check outs and many guests requiring access to stored baggage. Made for less than acceptable check-in experience.

Amazing Stay!!!
Cant recommend this hotel enough,ideal location for going to 3 arena, luas just on its doorstep so you can pop into city easily. Staff so welcoming and accomodating. Food is absolutely amazing!!! Room was lovely so clean and the hotel was just overall one of the best we have stayed in, we will be back!!!!
