"Really friendly check in staff. Room was really spacious with a fridge. Nice bar and patio area (albeit overlooking a main road). A few bits could be improved; soap dispensers weren't clean and a bit dusty all round, but would stay again. "

"Very clean room and bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The rooms are functional, no frills. I was upgraded to an executive room from a standard room but I'm not sure what the difference is between the two rooms. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food."
"This is a tired property, there was a hole in the floor covered by lino. Things broken and cracked. Yes, perfect location for ammeneties etc. But in room 1, do not stay. Things are rusty, shelves missing. Bed you can feel springs. "
"Helpful courteous staff, a large comfortable room overlooking quiet tree-lined street.location of hotel ideal, with good parking for hotel guests. Breakfast ... Substantial... Excellent mushrooms, eggs anyway you want.Easy walk to South Croydon station. "

Clean, friendly and great location
"I picked The Strand as a shot in the dark. I was delayed in Chicago for 24 hours and my companions were delayed even longer. I called from the airport and spoke with Kajal. She was so kind and helpful. Every time I spoke with her, she was always very helpful."
"Great location. We attended the Chelsea Flower Show, visited museums in the area and did some shopping. Tube to Westminster area was a short walk then four stops."
"Really easy and friendly check in. Room was perfect for our needs and well equipped. Comfy bed and very clean. Lovely little area of London with nice bars and eateries "

"This hotel was great. We started our trip with a different hotel but it was so bad that we left that place and booked this hotel instead and we are so happy we did. We got an accessible room even though we didn’t ask for one and it was huge. The bathroom in this room was bigger than the whole room we had at the original hotel we booked. The location was great with bus stops right in front of the hotel making it easy to get in and out of the city everyday. And finally huge shoutout to the night time desk crew, Masani, Afzal, and Domingos. These guys were amazing with helping when my mom had an accident in the shower coming to help right away and then helping us to arrange additional transport. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel. "

"We stayed in this hotel for 9 days and 8 nights and loved it so much. The hotel staff were extremely nice and very helpful. They gave us a very nice room on the 2nd floor with a great view. The bed size was comfortable for 2 of us. The breakfast was healthy and the cappuccino was delicious. I strongly recommend this hotel for everyone and make sure to ask for the type of room you like that fits your need. It was very close to underground train station and very safe place to stay. Thank you for everything you did for us. We greatly appreciate it and plan to stay again when we visit London next year."
