The property is a listed building and has a history detailed in the rooms. It is being slowly modenised and hopefully will retain its charm. Currently it does not have en-suite rooms which will put some off no doubt and the breakfast is completely self service right down to boiling your own eggs if you want them and loading the dishwasher when done. Gluten free cereal was among the multiple choices but no GF bread for some toast which was a shame. The host met us on arrival, was very friendly and provided us with lots of recommendations for places for food. The bed was extremely comfortable and bedding lovely! The choice of food available for breakfast was amazing, I’ve never seen a continental breakfast set up like it.
