The suite was great for having adult children stay with you. Loved having the 1/2 bath. Bathrooms were clean but old. Enjoyed our stay.

Other than our initial check in where the clerk didn’t seem to care who we were or that we were staying there, the stay was excellent. I had received a call from Byron 3 days before our stay saying that our original room with a king bed & sofa bed was not going to be available. I had booked this room last November so I was a bit upset until I was told they were going to give us adjoining rooms at no extra cost! We 3 gals had not all been together for 5 years so this still worked! Our rooms were roomy, clean, had nice beds & bedding. Several restaurants were within walking distance and the mall was close by. Our waitress at happy hour was so nice and gave us some great tips on things to do and places to eat. It was a quick 2 nights together but we hope to return and not wait for 5 years this time! I highly recommend HGI in Columbia SC. We will be back!

HGI are always a good experience and this one was no different. The room was clean and orderly, nice decorations, bed linens, pillows and towels were comfortable. The bathroom is beginning to look dated with a tub, not a walk in shower. The shower gel and shampoo bottles were almost empty, had to use the bar soap. Shower head was loose and wouldn't stay in place, had to screw it up tighter, needs replacement. This did upset me, no maid service for a two night stay, could have used fresh towels. Not sure if maid service required notification. Overall all a good value.

Very nice hotel, loved my whirlpool tub in my room. The indoor pool sucked, it was super cold due to heat maintenance in the room. They really need to hurry up and get that fixed. 🙄

It was okay. Not the best Hilton we have stayed at. Not an updated facility. Was woken up at 5 in the morning to fire alarm. Apparently the cook had not opened a vent before he started cooking. Smoke set it off.

Everything was great until 5:30 am when fire alarm went off because they didn't turn fan on in kitchen. But accidents happen. My real complaint is check out isn't till 12 but at 9:15am housekeeping knocked on door to see if we were still in room and then 9:45 housekeeping knocked on door to see if we were in the room. They just didn't want us to get any rest !!!

The hotel is located near popular shopping and eateries. We enjoyed the bar in the lobby on multiple occasions as we were visiting with friends and family. The 12:00 checkout was an added bonus, too. It was a very pleasant stay.
