The Bears Den is a secluded cabin nestled on a hillside in the midst of tall pines and beautiful aspens, just 10 minutes from the historic mining and casino town of Cripple Creek. Enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Pisgah and surrounding mountain ranges from every window. We have made the Den very cozy with its 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a game room, and a back deck with a grill and seating. Special touches from Renee and Michael make your romantic getaway or family stay an unforgettable experience.

Whether you use The Bears Den as a base for exploring the surrounding small towns and nature adventures, or as a spot to just sit and relax in the midst of the pines and aspens and enjoy the wind through the trees, we know you will come away from your stay refreshed and relaxed. You will surely appreciate the less crowded roads, the offbeat little stores and old mining towns, and all the opportunities for natural adventures in a part of the state far less familiar to many visitors to Colorado.

Did I mention the views? Just imagine sitting on the deck having your morning cup of coffee while soaking up the warm Colorado sunshine and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and trees.
This is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. Lots of places for hiking, even just stepping out of the cabin is an amazing place to hike and take in the
views.

Located within 5 miles of groceries, restaurants, and gas stations. We are also located not far from Pikes Peak, Cripple Creek, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods and Cog railway. If you’re looking to venture even further, we are an hour away from Breckenridge, Vail, Salida and Canon City.

The Bears Den highlights one of Colorado's attractions that is often overlooked: a true mountain life experience.

The Bears Den has 3 queen bedrooms and one queen sofa bed in the living room and a wood stove. Wifi connection is very good. Our Den is your home away from home, fully stocked with all necessities. We offer coffees and teas, shampoo, conditioner, soap,hairdryer, board games, books and coloring books.

The Cripple Creek area is a secluded and mountainous region rich with wildlife--we have recently seen several foxes, a family of mountain sheep, black bears, bobcats, turkeys and mountain lions.

Everything was fantastic, there was a strange smell coming from the hot water heater I believe. Smelled like rotten eggs. You may want to replace that as it has been there since 1996. The inside may be rusting

My daughter was taking a job in the area. She was not moving into her apartment until Thursday, but her job started on Monday. We stayed Sunday night through Thursday. It was wonderful!!!! Wish we would have booked for more nights! Very clean, comfortable and relaxing sitting on the deck out back. We rode our motorcycles. Didn’t realize it was a long dirt road up to the place. The road was hard packed though so it turned out good. Would definitely book again!

Our kids had a great time. We have a 5 yr, 4 yr, 2.5 yr and 8 month. The play room downstairs was great. We also got to walk just outside around the home and the kids climbed on the rocks which was a hit. I was able to bathe all the kids easily. The drives to do things were reasonble as well (sand dunes a little far!). We enjoyed the train at cripple creek and the take n bake pizza place in cripple creek was delicious! Definitely recommend going to the royal gorge bridge espescially with kids!

Had a quick stay in Cripple Creek. We took the train ride in town and drove to Mount Princeton Hot Springs for a day of soaking. The trail to cascade falls was spectacular also. Cabin was very cozy and fit our needs comfortably. Will definitely come again!

This property was beautiful the area around was a gorgeous view. We stayed in late December and there was snow everywhere and on the mountains and it was truly breathtaking. My family loved it so much. It is very roomy and cozy keep in mind you are about 40 mins away from any towns so come prepared with food for convenience. It's equipped with a full kitchen and laundry room. This property was perfect for my family of 6. Tempatures dropped in the negatives and the heaters kept the house warm they also have a heater in the upstairs restroom👍 My husband wants to stay here again great experience.
