Pulling up to the property we were definitely disappointed. You could see parts of the siding falling off, the parking lot was confusing, and the exterior doors not resemble the picture from the site listing. We went in and the front desk woman was super friendly. She got us in our room, but that's when things went very wrong. From the moment we got off the elevator you could smell the mold. We were assigned room #924. As we walked into the room you could see mold on the walls, in the windows, the wallpaper pealing with something oozing and dried up coming out from it. They're was mold and dust in the bathroom as well. I took photos and we decided this was not only a health hazard, but it was not going to workout. Things were not as advertised and it was not safe. We let the front desk associate, Candela, know and showed her image's. She brought over someone from their maintenance department and said that she was surprised, that they would need to close that area down. I can't tell if she was genuinely surprised or not, but as nice as she was it would be hard to believe considering you could smell it from the hallway just getting off the elevator. She was very kind though and issued a full refund, printing out a zeroed balance invoice, and said the full refund should hit sometime this week. I have not seen the refund yet, but I will be watching for it. I do notrecommend.

I'm happy to read Candela was able to provide immediate assistance and more over informed maintenance to assess the room upon your findings. In addition, management has taken the proper steps to further investigate this matter. Please allow 2-3 business to see any pending hold from check-in that was not used to fall off from your account as some banks may be faster than others. Thank you again for your detailed feedback as it is only the best tool the hotel can improve quality and service expectations our guests deserve. We hope you allow us the opportunity to welcome you back to ensure the bets stay possible.

Great hotel, great interior design and furnishings. Good bed and nice walk in shower. Large rooms and very quiet. Only problem is the hotel is not in Northbrook (Prospect Heights) and a 15-20 minute long drive to Northbrook Court. If you’re looking to be in Northbrook, like near the Eden’s Expressway, I would not stay here.

Good: Very safe as comfortable. The hotel room was clean. The staff was nice. The location is great, no city noise, and a lot of great stuff nearby. Bad: The queen beds are actually a full size, the free crib is a pack and play and it was broken, and our shower was clogged so we couldn't take a shower without the tub filling up. The shower and toilet is the size of a closet. The pool was pretty dirty.

Busted elevators, no water. How is this a Hilton? It really brings down the whole brand for a hotel this old to carry it. Should be a lower tier umbrella brand.

This hotel is tired, and needs a renovation. The rooms are dinged up, the facilities are not great (tiny shower and toilet in a separate room, could barely fit inside, and I'm a small man). The bed was o.k., but I expect a lot better from a Hilton hotel.

Great stay at the Northwood Hilton. The hotel was clean and very much to our liking. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was under repair due to a broken water pipe and subsequent flooding the week before we arrived.

Nice stay and everything was clean. Only suggestion would be to wipe down rooms before your guests arrive or ever few days after cleaning the rooms so the dust won’t gather.

Great place to stay!
We have stayed at Hilton on the Riverfront in North Brook several times over past couple years. We live out of town and this is our go to place because of the comfortable beds, clean hotel, quality service and hospitality. As a matter of fact; I accidentally left my phone in public restroom and the next day the cleaning people turned in to front desk. What a relief since I had thought I lost it. Also went to Allgauers for a quick breakfast which was good. Wait staff were tentative and friendly. Overall a great experience and that is why we continue to return.

Get bigger mattress!!!!!
Don’t like the bed pedestal, it sticks out past the mattress. I come home from here with bloody holes on my shins.
