Check in process is strange. Automated checkin machines are available but are only useable after checking in manually with the counter. This means the machines have extended the checkin process not made it more efficient. Brekfast available from 6.30 would have been nice and I would like to see real knives and forks instead of plastic wrapped plastic disposable cutlery.

Clean and right at the center.
Nice and close to everything. Center of the city and attraction. The check-in counter is on the 2nd floor. So you won’t have any help of you have a lot of language.

Wife’s family lives in Chiba, so we’ve found Diawa is the best option in the Chiba Station area. Friendly, professional staff. Clean rooms with larger rooms available. Good breakfast buffet with Japanese and western breakfast options.

I liked that it was very close to the Chiba Station where I needed to go to to catch the train or monorail to my tourist places. I am also a runner and the Chiba Park is only 1/2 mile away.Lots of eating places.

The hotel was just a 5-minute walk from the train station and less than 10 minutes to Sogo. Our 3 single-bed room was very clean with many electrical outlets (no need to fight over or ration charging time of devices!). Bathroom was spacious with separate full-sized deep bathtub and generously-spaced shower areas! Full amenities in the room. The room was very well insulated, almost like a cocoon! We didn’t hear our neighbours at all! Super important for light sleepers! Only niggle (but not a major one) was the breakfast spread. We stayed for 7 nights in total and faced almost the same variety of choices every day. Could do with a little more differentiation every few days. To be fair, the quality of dishes was good. We were so impressed with our stay that we will be looking at Daiwa hotels on our next trip!

My wife is from Chiba. We found Daiwa years ago, and always stay here when visiting family and friends. Friendly, updated, clean, right by Chiba Station yet quiet.

Great location near Chiba station. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Check in and out was trouble free. Hotel has a small frontage next to a restaurant.

Fantastic location, 3 minutes walk to Chiba station and then 45 minutes train ride to Narita. Really clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again.

2 night weekend break in Chiba
Hotel still feels very new and everything was in great condition - very clean and modern. Room on the 11th floor had a large bed (kingsize) and a massage chair with enough desk space for a laptop, so although small it was well equipped. The reception is on the second floor, above an Italian restaurant, that they use for breakfast (which I didn't have but looked decent value for around 1,300 JPY. The hotel is less than 5 min walk from Chiba JR station and Chiba monorail, so is easy to find and reach. I have used Daiwa Roynet hotels before and never been disappointed and this was good as they get, so would stay again if back in Chiba.

Great experience!
It has been an wonderful experience with this hotel. The room was new, stylish and comfortable. The hotel reception was friendly. The breakfast is a big plus! Its the first time we saw pizza in the breakfast buffet. Very tasty! Definitely will stay again!

The room we stayed in was very nice, perfect for 2people. They also have massage chair in the room which was good for us as we walked very far while we're in Japan, which made our body very tired when coming back in the room. Hotel staffs are very accommodating. We liked the way they did one time when we didn't let them clean the room as it's noon already and we're still sleeping. As we're about to go out as we opened the door, we saw outside our door the paperbag and inside it, there were bedsheet, blanket, towels, new slippers and new set of things for hygiene. There's also nearby train station so it was also very accessible. We will surely stay here again when we come back in Japan.

Great service
Staff can help you everything they can speak English well, Hotel so close with Chiba station easy for travel in Chiba Station have a big store, i'm so love it. in room have a massage chair, in Japanese menu but in easy to use. the room for me is very big, it's a bathtub and everything you need for bath. they give a Pajamas too, great choice.

Nice stay
I didn't read all the reviews and checked what are the amenities in the room & hotel, so it's a big surprise when i saw that there's a massage chair in my room! It's a bonus after a long day at the expo. Another highlight was the breakfast buffet, food was nice too. Staff were extremely helpful, they helped me to make dinner reservations as I cannot speak Japanese.

The hotel was a great location that was close to Chiba station. Latest technology for guest laundry facilities and buffet breakfast had good selection. Quiet rooms also.

Clean Safe and Econimical hotel in Chiba
Super convenient location. Though small, very clean room and useful space. Appreciated the security features in the property. We'll stay here again on our future visit to Chiba. This is a very economical and convenient transition place between NRT and Tokyo.

Tolerable with conditions but excellent service.
I was in Japan for family business. The Daiwa Roynet was close to everything that I needed in Chiba. The only thing that was disappointing was that there were no drawers in the room to put clothing into. I had to upgrade to get a room with drawers at extra cost.
