"The Carmel Beach Hotel is the very nicely refurbished/updated Colonial Terrace Hotel. We have stayed in the old property and now the new one. We really enjoyed our stay, the place has been very nicely updated. Outstanding location 1 block from the beautiful Carmel beach. We chose a room on San Antonio and had a small terrace with a clear ocean view. Excellent! Staff was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was very nice (real breakfast, not a cold boiled egg and a bagel). We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. "

"The Pine Inn was in a great location in Carmel. Easy to walk to the beach and around the cute downtown. The staff were very friendly. No elevator, so you better be able to do stairs and carry belongings up and down them. Parking was easy. Loved staying at the Pine Inn."

"My stay at Le Petit Pali was divine. The staff were lovely and accommodating- I was recovering from a major surgery and they regularly brought me anything I needed. While this was not a fancy upscale 5 star hotel, it was one of the most pleasant stays I’ve ever had. In some of the reviews they said it was a dressed up Motel and I get what they meant, in the structure of the building. Otherwise it was as thoughtfully curated as any 5 star hotel or resort I’ve ever stayed in. The breakfast was one of the best meals I had while in Carmel - felt like I was in a BNB in France. And the location is ideal. If you’re looking for a beautiful, comfortable, accommodating, and carefully crafted stay a stroll from downtown Carmel and a short walk to the ocean, I cannot recommend this place enough. "

"Lovely property. Superb hot tub. Excellent welcome from Elizabeth at reception. Amazing Barman at adjacent Brophys Tavern. Room very nice, but strangely lacking in places to hang anything. Nowhere to hang bathrobes or wet bathing suits. Towels are at opposite end of bathroom, meaning a slippery walk across wet tile to get a towel. No room around basin for toiletries. "
