"I finally made it to my room a bit late. I had some quick issues with the temp and television settings. I sent a text to Jim (the owner), and he helped me get comfortable for the night. I loved the personal touch you do not see as good as in large hotel chains. Personalized touch with better shampoo, had wet wipes to use, little things like Listerine to use. I met Jim in the morning and thanked him for all the great hospitality. Very nice and genuine man."

"We have stayed in hotels/B&Bs all over the Hill Country. We stayed in the good, the bad and the ugly. This one is in a gray area between the good and the bad. This is an older propery. Fairly well kept. The furniture is cheap and unattractive. The mattress was ok, just very loud when my husband would turn over. There were bugs...mind you mostly dead, but still bugs. "This place is AMAZING! My daughter and I went for a girl's weekend, and could not have been more pleased. They treated us like Royalty. I flew in right before a terrible storm that took out the Wi-fi, so they comped me 4 movies to make up for it. The ONLY thing that I didn't like was the parking. It is not free. $50 a night tax to self park and $59 a night for valet parking. That being said, the valet staff was super. Well worth the money. Especially given the location. the food was excellent. The spa experience was "life changing", out corner room was spectacular with an amazing view of the city (26th floor), and the bed and bedding the most comfortable that I've ever slept on. Don't get me wrong.. we spent a lot of money there. But it was worth every penny. And the entire staff treated us like we spent a million dollars there. We'll definitely go again. "
