Perfect location and nice room. Facilities like the bar were great and in great walking distance to shops & public transport

The property has no elevator to certain rooms and they never tell you this while checking in. There is no bell service either, so good luck carrying heavy bags to you room via the staircase.

Great central location. Corridors are a bit of a maze but wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

A nice hotel. Maybe a bit on the ‘corporate’ side of things, but certainly not a criticism. Great location and within a 5 minute walk of most things .

The air-con turns off at midnight automatically. You have to turn back on manually (if you are awake at that time). I woke up at 1.30am sweating and too hot. Took an hour for the room to cool down again. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again for that reason. When I checked out at 8am, I noticed there was a very long and slow-moving queue for breakfast.

The hotel was really lovely. Felt clean, fresh and new. Rooms were comfortable and nice attention to detail. Fabulous shower too! Highly recommend a stay here. Very central and convenient location.

Completely clean, comfortable...welcoming staff..We just loved it! Walking through the neighborhood was interesting with amazing coffee shops within minutes and a most excellent Creperie on the same block.

The self-serve check-in experience was extremely laborious, requiring all of my personal and trip details be re-entered multiple times. The hotel comprises of 2/3 buildings with our room, and many others, being 2 elevator joirneys and a lengthy walk from the reception and only entrance/exit. The room itself was well kept, however, the television provides only terrestrial channels absent BBC, Channel 4, and any digital channels. There was a Chromecast, but this required resetting several times in order to work and would cease working after a period of time.

The hotel is very central and near interesting places, but of course this does mean that it is not possible to park anywhere but the NCP and you are also in the clean air zone. It is an attractive building with an interesting history and rooms are more than satisfactory, but many of the staff we encountered were inefficient and seemed to lack the training and level of polish expected. eg Dining on one evening was so prolonged because it was impossible to get service - in the end I physically had to go and beg for a menu and for someone to come to our table. A similar situation occurred when I tried to get coffees at 11.15 am from the bar - no-one was there, no-one was on reception. I wandered around looking for someone to help! However, breakfast is very good and in the evening when the food did arrive it was very good value and there were interesting choices. It appeared that requests made by phone before the arrival date were not properly documented and therefore not carried out. However, fortunately there were a couple of very helpful staff members who sorted things out for me.

Would not hesitate to book again.
Excellent from start to finish, spotlessly clean and wonderful staff. The entrance is gorgeous(Christmas decs) and very welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and pleanty to choose from. The room was a lovely size. The inky thing that let it down was the bed seemed to be a small double bed. That being said, we wouldnt hesitate to come back the next time we are in Bristol and wouldnt look for anywhere else to stay. It was perfect. Location is fantastic and just a short walk to the centre. The pub/restaurant two doors up serves delicious food. 10/10
