Overall a great experience! We have stayed here before. This time the people above us were so insanely loud starting at 5am everyday and that made it hard to sleep and hard for our baby to sleep. The property itself was great, pool was fun and warm. We even got to experience an elk close up, from a safe distance as he mingled around the property. Check in was easy, parking simple, loved taking the shuttle to town so easily. Staff was patient and friendly. Room was clean and everything was functional.

Great location, very clean and comfortable. Only a couple of criticisms: - We arrived early and were told we would be e-mailed when the room was available. The front desk didn't want to send an SMS as we had an international number (not sure why as they then sent several courtesy SMS throughout our stay) but this never arrived. My wife checked at front desk around 3:30 but was told just to wait for the message. I went to the front desk at 4:30 and was told the room was ready and they were surprised we hadn't been told. It would have been useful for us to have access to the room as soon as it was ready. - Could do with more ski lockers at the Peak 9 side ski-in as these were usually all in use, as were the lockers in the building and in our parking garage. We wasted time walking around the hotel in ski boots (with a tired kid) trying to find somewhere to leave skis and ended up giving up and storing them in our car.

We stayed here for spring break and loved. Room for 4 was spacious, the pool area is great and so the bar. It is ski in, and not exactly ski out (you have walk and carry skis). There are lockers, but the hotel was full and it took some time to find one available and some didn't work properly, but the staff was always quick to help. It was also hard to find a free spot in the garage. Transportation to town was easy with the shuttle. The ski rental store onsite was also very convenient. There is no breakfast, but the market at the reception has some basics, and you can stock up at the grocery store in town.

The property is in an excellent location between peaks 8 and 9. You can nearly ski out the door (just 50 ft of walking) towards the snowflake lift. The property is also incredibly well maintained and has amazing outdoor heated pools and hot tubs. Apartments were very comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Sometimes it did take a couple of calls into maintenance to get them to restock items. We appreciated the use of lockers on the ground floor to store our skis after use. A walk into town is only 20 minutes, although there is a free shuttle that frequently runs into town. Overall, our family of 4 greatly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in a king bed Studio. No views as the room was facing another building.the room was clean, not well lit but also rather old fashioned. It had a kitchenette which had some amenities like microwave and a dishwasher, coffee maker. The room has popcorn ceilings and walls, old stained wood and a dated looking carpet. I also had a flickering light. It was very clean but very much 1970s styling. Pool and hot tubs were very good. Ski in and out is a bit of a stretch. I had to walk 50 - 100yards when I skied back or if I wanted to get on the slopes in the morning. However, a shuttle advised me to ride with him to another area to take a faster lift. Shuttle was very good. All in all okay, not amazing and not bad. I would visit again but I’d also look elsewhere.

Loved our stay!
Free shuttle service was a real bonus. Location was excellent to ski area and downtown. Beautiful hot tub/pool areas. Great robes were provided for all guests to wear as a coverup when heading to the pool.

This property pleasantly surprised us and exceeded all of our expectations. Convenient parking made going on quick runs to grocery store or other adventures easy. Didn’t use the shuttle service, but saw plenty of happy people who did. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great surprise
The Grand Timber exceeded our expectations. The room is very spacious and comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped, parking is easy and indoors, the staff are efficient and attentive. The service is excellent (except for the day they forgot to clean our room). The hot pool area is sensational. The convenience of having ski rental within the hotel is great. The ski in and out is not exactly easy to access, but OK. The shuttle service is very good and comfortable. The facilities are old but very well maintained.

Grand time at Grand Timber
When we arrived the heat didn’t work in the living room or bedroom. Despite being after 8pm Grand Timber Lodge sent someone with a temporary fix. They came back the next day and fixed the heat permanently. A few minor other things were broken such as lock between bathroom doors and the plugs for the tv a former guest had pushed in / broken. Unit was clean on surface but could have used a deep clean. Love having Christy’s and the Boot restaurant right on site. The shuttle bus is fabulous. Never need to drive. Easy access to Base 9 and back home from Saw Mill for intermediate or up skiers Generally a lovely place. We have stayed 4 times and will certainly return.

great property location - and love they had so many hot tubs - but its a bit run down rooms and beds, could really need an update - carpets are old and smelly. There is a bar/restaurant to the property buts its not great so missing the apres ski ambiant.
