This island cottage allows you to truly experience living the tropical island lifestyle while only two blocks from the soft sands of the Gulf of Mexico. The island cottage is surrounded by palm trees and lush green vegetation which provides all the privacy one could desire. When you are not relaxing at your tropical paradise, take a short walk to soak your toes in the soft sands and turquoise blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The cottage is a two bedroom, one bathroom unit with tile floors throughout the residence. The kitchen is updated with all white cabinetry and fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the cooking utensils needed. A separate living space with a flat screen TV with over 100 channels allows you to sit back and relax or enjoy the flat screen TV in the master bedroom. The weather is always just right so relax on the screened in patio or lounge on any of the outside patio furniture. A large dining area is provided so everyone can enjoy a nice breakfast before hitting the beach or enjoy a big dinner with family and friends. This unit offers everything you could want for that beach vacation you have been searching for.

Every island attraction is right at your fingertips during your stay here. On checking in dishwasher not working, coffee maker carafe had crack on bottom could not use, front door lock not working properly so used side door , gas and charcoal grills both rusted and not useable, no water pressure in shower

Small, close to beach
Great location for beach. We brought our own beach chairs and cart so no comment on what was included there. Kitchen was ok but needed a cutting board. Also no blankets in the house which would have been nice on cool nights. No ironing board. Could use updates but served our needs. No frills but we enjoyed the location and love the island!

Where did management go?
The place was nice enough. However, the grill was rusted through on the inside and unusable. I reported it and was told someone would be out. That never happened. Reported absence of hot water on Saturday, Check in day and was told someone would be out. No one was out until Tuesday after several texts to Siesta Key rentals. The water heater was replaced about 5:00 pm Tuesday. Unable to use shower for 3 days. I have since repeatedly asked Siesta Key management to call me. And they never have. They apparently are unwilling to make things right. I will not use VRBO again due to poor service.

We booked last minute, the house was nice. Close to the beach, just a short 2 block walk. The beds were absolutely awful though. Everyone hated their beds. You could feel every single spring, The beds get a 0/10.

Convenient location so close to the beach. The apartment was not well kept the sofas and chairs were in need of cleaning. Comfortable bedrooms and clean bathroom. On a very nice quiet street … no noise of traffic, music or other humans. Glad we stayed in this area.

Couldn't have been a better location without being on the beach. Quiet residential neighborhood with little traffic and many walkers. Just two short blocks to the beach where the sand was white, powdery and cool to your feet. A good place to rekax abd keave your worries behind. Close to everything ftom Great Clips to cute boutiques to out-of-the ordinary dining.

Nice beach cottage, but the AC stopped working
This property is perfect for a beach getaway. We had four guests and it was just the right amount of space. The house was clean and well kept. We stayed for a total of 6 nights, 7 days. The AC stopped working on Friday night (it was 86 degrees in the house) and the property manager came Saturday afternoon to take a look at it. He told us there wasn't anything he could do and that he would come back the next day (Sunday) with a mobile unit. Thankfully, the AC started working again Sunday early afternoon and we got it cooled down to 75 inside. I didn't tell the property manager is started working again, and he never even showed up with the mobile unit (so for all he knew, we were still sitting in an 86 degree house). On Monday morning the AC guy came and fixed it and he even asked us where the mobile AC unit was, and was surprised when we told him the property manager never brought it over. I know it is stated in the rental agreement that there is no compensation for broken AC and the property manager told us that "it happens in Florida all the time." However, it is very unenjoyable to be on vacation sitting in a house that is as hot as the outside temperature. It also states in the rental agreement that you can't put the AC lower than 73 or it will cause damage to the unit. So my question is, why not replace the unit? It seems like this company would rather just rent the space with a broken unit rather than caring about the comfortability of the people renting the property. Other than the 48+ hours with no AC, our stay was enjoyable.
