Beautiful hotel in the hills northeast of Bilbao. Easy to find, and as convenient as can be expected to drive in and out of the city for a few days. Unlike many places in Spain, good reliable air conditioning. Note that the “Family” room is just one room, so no privacy for anyone sleeping in either of the two beds. Hotel restaurant was good, not great, but good value.

Although it was not why we chose the hotel it is an excellent base for coming to or leaving Bilbao. Very handy for the airport without in any way feeling like an”airport hotel”. Nice indoor pool and classy pitch and putt attached

Sehr freundlichlicher Check in. Das Hotel strahlt eine sehr schöne AtmosphĂ€re aus. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war fĂŒr unseren Geschmack nicht so gelungen. Auch die Anfahrt ist nicht ganz einfach. Aber ansonsten alles sehr angenehm.

Hotellet ligger i en smuk beliggenhed uden for Bilbao, og det tager cirka 15 minutter at komme ind til centrum. DesvĂŠrre levede oplevelsen ikke helt op til forventningerne. Hotellet fremstĂ„r en smule nedslidt, hvilket trĂŠkker helhedsindtrykket ned. Vores stĂžrste problem var dog temperaturen – vi besĂžgte stedet i februar, og vores vĂŠrelse var iskoldt. Det gjorde opholdet langt mindre behageligt, end vi havde hĂ„bet. En lidt skuffende oplevelse, som vi desvĂŠrre ikke kan anbefale.

Cucarachas en la habitaciĂłn

Tuvimos cucarachas en la habitaciĂłn. La primera la cogimos y la tiramos por el vater, pero empezaron a aparecer cada vez mas. Bajamos a la recepciĂłn, y nos dijeron que bueno, que nos podĂ­an dar un spray💀💀 Sinceramente, tratĂĄndose de un hotel de 4 estrellas que no es barato, tener cucarachas en la habitaciĂłn y que no te den soluciones es de risa. Entiendo que esta en el campo, pero si no pueden hacer un mantenimiento para que esto no pase, que menos que revisar mĂ­nimamente la habitaciĂłn y deshacerse de las cucarachas antes de que entre un huĂ©sped. O por lo menos ofrecer un cambio de habitaciĂłn o fingir que hacen algo. Es de risa

Cadre trÚs sympathique. Restaurant le soir pratique et bon mais un peu cher, voir trÚs cher pour certaines entrées basiques. Chambre trÚs correct Piscine chauffée d'intérieur. Salle de sport ou la moitié des équipements n'étaient pas utilisables (code erreur ou inréglable)

When we first arrived the reception was welcoming the pool was lovely and relaxing. The food was delicious and the wine very nice. The room was fabulous with spectacular views. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. If we are over that way again I know where I will be staying. I highly recommend it

Le « palacio » est loin d’ĂȘtre Ă  la hauteur de son nom. Le personnel Ă©tait peu souriant et peu avenant. Les demandes faites lors de la rĂ©servation (ex: deux lits) ne sont pas respectĂ©es. Nous Ă©tions deux voyageurs et nous avions une pauvre petite serviette
. Bref, notre arrivĂ©e ne s’est pas super bien passĂ© et nous avons Ă©tĂ© déçus. La nourriture du restaurant est extrĂȘmement dispendieuse et dĂ©cevante. Une entrĂ©e de « cannelloni » (qui ne sont mĂȘme pas des cannellonis en passant mais des espĂšces de rouleaux Ă  la courge fourrĂ©s d’une espĂšces de purĂ©e accompagnĂ©s d’UNE petite carotte.) a 17€ servi par un air bĂȘte. Nous voyageons beaucoup et nous savions bien qu’au prix que charge l’hĂŽtel pour une chambre, que n’étions pas pour ĂȘtre dans un « palacio », mais tout de mĂȘme

Beautiful location in the mountains

Having stayed here on two previous occasions, the location remains stunning and the cost reasonable depending on the season but overall the standards seem slightly reduced. The basic rooms are pretty basic (!) and if you’re looking for a hearty breakfast ahead of a long journey, the offering is meagre to say the least. The Bistro and the main restaurant offer pretty much the same menu and some items are excellent value whilst others seems overpriced. However the quality is fine. Beware a bread roll will cost you €1.50 but a glass of very decent wine can be as little as €2.40!
