Great location in center of town. Extremely clean. Minimalist type of accommodation. Our room had Q bed, desk and 2 chairs. Bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. Nothing fancy or extra but e everything you need and everything is clean. There is a common area where you can sit and conduct business on one side and a kichen/dining area on the other side. The kitchen is equipped with sink, water kettle, microwave, refrigerator and TV. Eco friendly silverware and plates also available at no cost. It is a good place for people to crash to, after a long day of visiting, sightseeing or exploring. No frills. However, it is located in the students zone of Bergen, and this time on Friday night we were kept up all night with someone enjoying loud thumping music... It went on from 9 to 11pm then again from 3am to 4:30pm.. We did tell the night person about it, unfortunately the noise couldn't be heard outside in the hallway. However, once in our room it was clearly thumping... Finally around 4:30am it stopped and we were able to catch some 💤 before checking out at 12 noon. We actually had to check out early and were suppose to get a refund for our prepaid night, but one month later, I am still waiting....

An average hotel, small room, virtually no visible staff. Easy check in, other than messages from the hotel were sent through Expedia (as I made my reservation via Expedia), and could not be switched into English, which caused some problems.

Just a short walk to the city centre, in a quiet location. The small double bedroom was clean and the bed really comfy. There is a sloping roof and heads were banged getting into the far side of the bed. Only issue was with the self check in, which didn’t work, and we had to wait for a staff member to appear; we were tired after an evening flight in and just wanted to get to the room. Overall, i would be happy to stay there again, but in a bigger room.

You're not right amongst the action but still less than 10 minutes walk to the heart of the city centre and harbour (for food and shopping). The central train station is about 5 minutes walk away. Supermarkets are literally across the road or just down the street about 2 minutes away. I didn't get a TV in my room but the room I got was clean and functional. There's a common area that doubles as the lobby on the ground floor with amenities like a TV, choice of dining or lounge seating, vending machines, kitchenette with microwave oven and kettle, disposable cutlery and cups but no free tea or coffee. On the second floor (or 1st level above ground) is the laundry. Payment is by card. There is only one washing machine and one dryer though so be prepared to wait or be flexible.

The property was clean, quiet and had what we needed. The common area on the first floor was nice, with an added amenity of umbrellas for use. We had no interaction with staff since it was self check-in and check-out.

A nice, comfortable but bare bones accommodation within walking distance to amenities and attractions, but still away from the busy centre. It's great if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep, but maybe not if you're expecting the comforts of a hotel, e.g., TV, mini fridge, kettle, daily housekeeping, and so on.

Had a great stay here, easy self check in, communal area with kettle/toaster/microwave/fridge and coffee machine. There is a washing machine but only open 9am-9pm and was being used when we wanted to do our washing. Our room was simple but clean and modern. Quiet area, 15 min walk to Bryggen. Grocery stores nearby. Good value for money.

Convenient location, short walk to most places of interest. Staff present and willing to help, clean and comfortable room. Cozy and clean kitchen/lounge area. Shower was tiny with giant shower head, making it impossible to use it comfortably, plus water leaks out around it. No shelf of any kind for soap etc. Laundry facilities work great, but are bit pricy.

This is a great hotel.
I loved this hotel. Close to town, but just away from the main areas to have some privacy. Super easy walk into the main part of town. 3-4 blocks from the airport light rail. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi was 350mb down, and they had laundry on premises. Not fancy, but awesomely effective. Tons of great street food and groceries within a few blocks. Bike share a block away.

Nice solo trip visit
I stayed 4 nights here during a solo trip in one of the smaller rooms, and it was quite enjoyable. I was uncertain about the kiosk checkin, but it was very easy. The fridge and coffee downstairs were very convenient. Grocery store across the street too, and train/bus station is only about a 5 minute walk. The room was small but clean and cozy. I'd stay again.

It was a decently priced stay in a safe area with transportation options nearby. However, the “bed” was really a cot with a mattress topper (not a mattress) that would slide out of place, the bedroom was so small that I (being 5’1) hit my head on one of the walls on top of the bed so hard I felt dizzy for a minute. It was never cleaned throughout my stay, not even the trash bin.

We stayed in CityBox in Oslo before coming to this hotel in Bergen. Comparatively speaking, I have to rank this property with 3.5 stars while it is 5-star for the one in Oslo. The major difference is that the staff here is not as helpful and pleasant as those in Oslo.
