Bentonville is the birthplace of Walmart, and yes, you can visit the Walmart Museum to get a look at the history of the company through exhibits, Sam Walton’s original 5&10 store, and a soda fountain.

If the chef needs the night off, Bentonville has numerous dining choices for all appetites. A quick stroll to downtown reveals a bevy of locally-owned bistros, coffee shops, and cafes. The Pressroom is a hip coffee and cocktail bar serving seasonal fare made from local ingredients. Or nosh on fresh oysters and charcuterie in a restored Gothic Revival church at the Preacher’s Son. For a casual meal, check out Flying Fish, a no-frills eatery serving seafood with a cajun twist.

For those who would rather shop than bike, this area has a variety of shops and boutiques that cater to all tastes. Spend an afternoon poking around Brika, located in the former Benton County National Bank Building built in 1906. The space offers a rotating cast of designers and artists a space to market their apparel, jewelry, and housewares. Around the corner, pick up some local souvenirs at Bentonville Mercantile or visit Blue Moon Bentonville for home goods, jewelry, purses, and women's fashions.

Great rental for MTB
Loved the MTB-specific features of the place, including convenient and secure bike storage, hose in the backyard for cleaning of the bikes, and easy access to trails (just go straight up F street to the Black Apple Creek Trail). The hosts were super-responsive to emails, usually answering questions within 15-20 min.

Thanksgiving weekend
First time this far north of the University area. Really liked the area. House was as advertised. However primary bedroom had no place to hang clothes, 2nd bedroom had a closet but no hangers. Primary bath had 1 towel rack. Ample wall space to hang bikes but no place for a rain/winter coat. Kitchen was well appointed. Electronic door lock was wonky at times. Something on bedroom window to block streetlights would improve sleep quality.

Perfect location
The location was great and the neighborhood is adorable ! Walkable but also easy drive to downtown. We stayed with our 3 kids and it was more than enough room with 3 bedrooms but also set up well for safety with a 1 year old. They also had a supply of detergent, soaps. You can tell they care about the little details which made it feel cozy :)

Great place for the long weekend!
The place was clean upon arrival and it was very easy and quick communication with the owner. It’s located about .7 miles away from downtown, so in the summer, it’s walkable in the early mornings. The checkout process was easy and simple, which is rare to find. The infants with us played around on the floor safely and they slept well during naps and nighttime.
