We traveled to Aztec specifically to see the Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village, but it was closed because of the Columbus Day holiday. Despite this, we were able to learn more about our pioneer ancestors that helped settle the area.
Wow, what a treasure. Aztec Ruins is gorgeous! The staff are super friendly and helpful. The sacred site is a must see. The reconstructed kiva was a spiritual experience.
If you want to sho, don’t go on Sunday. Safeway was open but not much else!
This is a place to stop in if you’re driving through. Aztec ruins only takes about a half hour to see. We looked for the arches in the area but they were difficult to get to.
Nice, clean town, easy to get around. The ruins were the best!
