Apartment above our garage. We live in the main house, which is also occasionally rented. When the main house is rented, the pool is not available to apartment guests.

Open the black-out cellular shades and feel suspended among the trees. This studio loft makes excellent use of the space, with an elegant bathroom and butcher block countertops on a quiet end street. Organic mattress. The front house is directly on Ladybird Lake hike & bike trail, exactly 1 mile east of I35/ downtown. 1 block from Launderette restaurant and only a few blocks from countless fantastic East Austin bars and restaurants. This is a foodie's dream, just a quick stroll to the best East Austin restaurants and the best breakfast tacos in all of Austin. You are welcome to borrow our paddleboards, kayaks, and bikes!

Great stay, great location
We had a great stay. The location was perfect for us with quick access to the bike trail and walking and riding distance to restaurants. Easy access to downtown. Many music venues. Sarah was easy to communicate with and kind enough to let us use a bike which came in super handy . We even got to see her sing at The Elephant Room - worth checking out!

Cozy Guest House
Everything about this adorable loft is well thought out. From the private access and parking space, down to the smallest details in the kitchenette, Sarah goes to great lengths to ensure you have everything needed for a relaxing stay. It’s like staying in a modern day treehouse with all the updated amenities. Beautiful decor, bathroom, and sitting area. With convenient access to the river, walking trails, restaurants, and bars, this guest house is a gem and Sarah is a delight. I most definitely look forward to returning!

We had an incredible stay at Holly Lake Trails in ATX. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekday getaway. We drove down from Midland Tx to see Olivia Rodrigo at the Moody Center. The location was great, and the host was wonderful. We can’t wait to come back!

What a gem!
The loft was so cute! Wonderful layout, super comfy, well thought out. It has a small kitchenette with a water dispenser (thank you!!). The bathroom was so adorable! I loved the sitting area with couch and coffee table. The bed was super comfortable. I wish I had this space when I was in college! I adored the color choices for the dishes too. It is also across the street from lady bird lake! You can walk on the trail right from the property so great location. Not one problem or issue.

Perfect little spot
We really enjoyed staying in Sarah's garage apartment in Austin! It was in a great neighborhood in East Austin -- right where we wanted to be. We were there during a freeze, but the heat in the apartment worked awesome! Sarah was so helpful while we stayed there. If you're renting a car I would choose a smaller SUV or a sedan. We had a large SUV and it was a bit tricky getting into the driveway. Also, if you're planning on cooking in the kitchen, the pans are on the smaller side (which makes sense because the stovetop is small, though accurately pictured in the listing) so we had to use them both when we wanted to cook. We would for sure stay in Sarah's place again when we go back to Austin! It was great!

Sarah was fantastic to work with. The pool was great for our grandkids. They were welcomed into the pool even when Sarah's family was using the pool. The unit was very very clean. We would recommend this unit, location and most of all a wonderful host.

Great little nook for an ATX getaway
My husband and I stayed here when in Austin for ACL weekend 2. The location was great - not downtown but close enough. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars and breweries. So close to the bike path - nearly on top of it. We rode our bikes from the guesthouse to Zilker Park and never had to get on a road. We rode back in the dark and felt safe the whole time. The rental was clean, well-appointed and super cute. The main house was rented out during part of our stay but it wasn’t an issue. We sat on the balcony almost every morning for coffee and evenings for cocktails (the weather was perfect) and even though the view is the main house and backyard, we never felt like it wasn’t private. I would highly recommend and would stay here again. The host was easy to communicate with and helpful with suggestions.

Perfect Austin location
Loved our stay here. The place was the perfect size for the two of us and was immaculate throughout. Bathroom and shower were the highlight of the inside space! Loved being able to sit outside and (on this occasion) had full use of the pool, which was fortunate in the heat. Perfect location close to Lady Bird lake, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Was really nice to have a responsive and helpful host who provided plenty of ideas for local favourites.

Was very excited for this trip, but not sure I would rent this particular VRBO again. Upon arrival, the pool and pool deck were not clean, and were not cleaned at any point during our stay. There was trash on the porch by the rental entry, and also a half-eaten tub of ice cream left in the freezer. Since the owner lives in the main house, I wouldn’t expect this to be the case. The location (in my opinion) was not as walkable as I had hoped, but it was easy/cheap to catch an uber to the areas we wanted to visit. Sarah was very quick to respond with any questions, which was great. On the final afternoon of our stay as we were getting in the pool, Sarah did inform us that since it was Saturday, her daughter and friends wanted to use the pool. While I feel for her children, I felt this was unprofessional, considering we had paid to rent the house and the pool. It also made my friend and I a little uncomfortable.

The location of Sarah’s property cannot be beat. We didn’t have enough time to visit all the great restaurants, bars, and cafes in the area, but they are all within walking distance or a short drive. The apartment met our needs perfectly; it was cozy and private. Thank you, Sarah!
