"We had a wonderful time. Being in a top floor, we had vaulted ceilings, spacious two bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms. A large fully equipped kitchen. W/D, fireplace, deep tubs…it was so nice. Our east side view also gave us the wonderful AM sunlight streaming thru our bedrooms in the morning. I would recommend doing spot cleaning for the couches and carpets. We also were almost back broken due to the stiff mattresses. Few issues that we made work: jacuzzi was out of order during the visit, fire...

"We’re familiar with the Truckee area and we’re looking for something close to Northstar that would house our extended family with grandparents and small children. This fit the bill perfectly. The place was exactly as advertised and perhaps looks nicer in person than in the pictures. Hosts were extremely communicative and helpful, would stay here again in the future!"

"The host never responed to our repeated attempts via text, email and phone about how to access the property. We ended up staying in separate hotel rooms on Thanksgiving weekend. To add insult to injury, the VRBO rental fee was deducted from our bank account and we are now waiting for VRBO to process our refund."

"This is a one-of-a-kind property. The views are spectacular, everyone was very comfortable as there is a lot of space, and it feels very private. The drive to South Lake Tahoe where all the stores and restaurants are is short and pretty. Last second there was an issue with some amenities that was out of the owner's control but they handled it promptly and professionally. I would definitely recommend the house and would come back for an another family trip."

"Let me start off by saying the two-star review seems a bit harsh. Here are my thoughts. Indeed, the pool lights go off at 9pm and you can't be loud past that time. The neighbors aren't super close, but I'm sure this property had issues with noise in the past and that probably ruined it for everyone going forward. "We loved feeling part of the outdoors when inside of this fun yurt. A true relaxing getaway among gorgeous tree-covered hills. Lots of options for sleeping arrangements as our group came and went. I had a fantastic deep tissue massage by Skya from Nevada City who came out to the house. The home was located about halfway between Auburn and Grass Valley which was nice. Hosts were very helpful."

"It was difficult to go inside because the view was so compelling! We were 7 adults and 2 small kids and had plenty of rooms and plenty of room to be together. The kitchen had everything we needed and seats for everyone. Location ideal. The house did have two room air conditioners but it was tough to keep all parts of that large house cool. We had record heat during our stay in July so that was part of it. Overall great for a family visiting Lake Tahoe."

"The property is beautifully maintained, in a gorgeous location and the host, Camila, is truly exceptional. Any issue or question, Camila was on top of it immediately. We even had an issue with another property we had rented very nearby and were not sure the unit would be safe for us to stay in due to a gas leak. Camila responded to my request for help if the safety issue wasn't resolved and made this unit available to us on short notice and I'm incredibly grateful for the piece of mind she gave...

"In town for a wedding, our family wanted to stay together at this large house. Upon check-in and choosing bedrooms we noticed that none of the sheets had been washed (hair, boogers and mascara on the beds). In many of the bathrooms, there was only one clean towel. We planned to make dinner the first night in the huge kitchen, but it had no forks and very few cups. Confetti and sequins on the floors, and crumbs in the refrigerator. "My husband and I rented this house for 5 days, 4 nights. We loved the house. The location to everything we did was great. We visited South Lake Tahoe and then all the way to Truckee. We stayed in the master bedroom on the 2nd floor but there were multiple rooms in the house. The downstairs is fairly small so I’m glad it was just he and I. "The property was beautiful. Everything yoiu would need was provided. It was off the beaten path so very quiet and woodsy. Our group of 9 were high school buddies (50 years ago) having our yearly golf trip. Several golf courses within 15 min and after a round of golf in the warm weather, the pool was a life safer. Everyone staying there said the accomodations were beyond their expectations."

"Gorgeous land and buildings. Amazing room. A door on the master bath cabinet in our room had broken hinges and it looked like it had been that way for a while and not repaired. The shower felt a little awkward with no good place to hang your towel while you shower so you could easily get it when you're done. One of the drawers in the master bedroom would not stay closed and would slide open slightly by itself. Overall, an incredible place to stay."
