You will necessarily come across a herd of sheep on the road approaching the village.
Hundreds of sheep are guided by the shepherd every morning and every end of the day, Your car is surrounded by these animals and their young, a great moment!

Ideally located near Georgioupolis between Chania and Rethymnon, 5/10 mins from white sand beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, shops, pharmacy and doctors. 40 mins from Chania airport. 5 mins from Lake Kournas. 20 minutes from Kalyves and Almyrida.

Possibility of organizing horse or pony treks 10 minutes from the villa. Very good club, they also offer to finish with a walk on the beach and swim with the horse.

Charming and delicious little family tavern "Chez Maria" opposite Patima in Kastello. (2 minutes from the villa) Our favorite address. You can also order and have it delivered directly to the villa by many restaurants. (for example Greek salads, Moussaka, grilled lamb chops or simply a roast chicken - fries).

Wild oregano villa and Patima will not leave you indifferent.

Peaceful Tranquil Retreat in Crete
A lovely villa in a peaceful tranquil retreat. Wonderful views of the coast and surrounding hills. Watch the Eagles soaring above. Very peaceful you can listen to the wildlife around you. The nearest Taverna is just over a kilometer away but you are unlikely to encounter a car walking there. Beautiful lake nearby to see the fresh water turtles.

Outstanding and breathtaking
The entire experience from start to end was superb, the villa was beautiful and perfectly setup! The views took our breath away, it was like spending two weeks in paradise. Gaby was simply perfect, polite, friendly and super helpful! The only complaint is we had to come home! This is hands down the best villa we’ve ever stayed in and can’t rate it highly enough!

We had an amazing holiday in the villa, just like last year. The location is perfect, on top of the hill, with breathtaking views, away from the hustle and bustle, the complete opposite of our London life. The short ride to the beach is magical. The villa is modern, stylish, very well equipped and very homely. We can’t wait to go back again.

Amazing place in the hills
We (family of three, daughter 9 years old) had a relaxing holiday in this villa. The house is clean and spacious. The surrounding is breathtaking. No people in sight, only the shepherd and his sheep. Gaby was incredibly helpful, was always there if needed. The pool was great, a touch on the cold side. We brought our coffee machine but I found the exact same one in a cupboard, it was a very well equipped kitchen. Shops are by the beach, 15 minutes away. Road is great, olive trees are on each side. We'd love to return soon.

Lovely Cretan villa!
Lovely villa in North/ Central Crete. The Villa was lovely and as an Architect I really appreciated the design and minimalist interior. Only downside was that the villa itself was missing a few essential amenities that we required but it may not be big deal to some guests. All in all a lovely stay! A car is essential though.

We spent 10 wonderful days at this beautiful villa in this very calm and decelerating area! We enjoyed every single minute with a stunning view of the mountains, the sea or a liberating cannonball into the refreshing pool right outside the perfectly air-conditioned living room. Sehr schön in den Bergen Kretas gelegene Villa. Schlafräume und Wohnzimmer klimatisiert. Private Terrasse mit eigenem Pool. Auch den vorhandenen Gasgrill haben wir genutzt. Wir konnte trotz großer Hitze eine tolle Woche in dieser Unterkunft verbringen. 100% Entspannung.

un endroit idyllique
Que dire ... Un propriétaire charmant et disponible. Une maison magnifique parfaite pour un couple et deux enfants et (totalement équipée). La localisation de cette dernière est idéale. Chania et Réthymnon ne sont pas très loin et la côte sud à une petite heure de route. Bref, on est suffisamment proche de tout, tout en étant loin de la cohue touristique. Des services impeccables. Une personne sur place aux petits soins. Et enfin une vue, UNE VUE (de dingue) dont on ne peut se lasser. Bref, nous avons passé 15 jours magnifiques. C'était notre troisième fois en Crête et nous reviendrons certainement.

Sehr schöner und funktionaler Bungalow in den Bergen oberhalb von Kavros. Von Terrasse, WZ und Kü wunderbarer Ausblick auf Berge und Meer. Pool perfekt zum Abkühlen und Erfrischen. Außendusche. Estrichböden im Haus - sehr angenehm barfuß zu gehen. Sehr gute Matratzen in den Schlafzimmern. Bad leider ohne Außenbelüftung/Fenster - damit kann es schon mal "dampfig" und feucht werden.

Schon vor der Reise, hat Gaby, die gute Seele des Hauses, Kontakt zu uns aufgenommen. Hier angekommen, hat sie uns liebevoll in Empfang genommen. Der Blick ist fantastisch und die Taverne Maria in Kastello ist ein muss!

Alles was man braucht für einen ruhigen Urlaub
Das Ferienhaus ist wunderbar in Hanglage mit Blick auf das Meer gelegen. Von der Ausstattung alles was man für einen ruhigen Urlaub benötigt. Zu empfehlen ist die Taverne ein Dorf weiter. Laufen ist nicht so grandios, aber das hat mehr mit den Hunden in dieser ländlichen Umgebung Kretas zu tun. Gerne wieder.

In the middle of nowhere
Traumhaftes Haus in wundervoller Lage. Absolut ruhig mit einem fantastischen Blick zum Meer und in die Berge. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment sehr wohlgefühlt. We hebben hier een heerlijk aantal dagen doorgebracht, in de bergen dus begin mei werd het s'avonds na 1900 uur wel fris om buiten te zitten. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien. Prima plek om dit gedeelte van Kreta verder te ontdekken.

Pile ce qu’il fallait !
Nous avons passé un séjour particulièrement agréable dans cette maison, dont les photos sont très fidèles. La vue est splendide. La localisation parfaite : juste ce qu’il faut pour se sentir à l’écart, au calme, sans se sentir isolé. En quelques minutes de voiture, sur des routes tranquilles et en très bon état, on rejoint la plage, le lac, les villes alentours. La route principale du nord de crête, pour rejoindre Chania, rethymnon ou Heraklion se trouve à 10minutes. L’accueil était parfait, Gaby attentive et à l’écoute. Quelques présents à l’arrivée qui nous ont fait plaisir ! Globalement nous sommes vraiment ravis de ce séjour qui nous a permis de profiter dans des conditions optimales de la Crête. La literie très confortable, les équipements complets (machine à laver, lave vaisselle, barbecue gaz opérationnel, …). La Clim fonctionne bien et est présente dans chaque pièce hors salle de bain. Wifi un peu capricieux mais bon… on est pas non plus venu pour ça. Nous recommandons chaleureusement ce lieu de vacances !

Great Place for a Calm Holiday
We stayed at Villa Origan for nearly three week. The house is lovely designed with two bedrooms and a large living room - even if the outside was our living space for most time of the day. The well equipped kitchen made home cooking very easy. The views from the villa and the terrace are georgous! The village of Patima is small and in some kind at the end of the road, there is very few through-traffic and we had a real calm and relaxing time - just what we were looking for. Rethimno is about 20 minutes away and one can choose the fast way via the New National Road or the much more scenic way via the curvy Old Road. We were allowed to use the much bigger pool of the neighbouring Jasmine Villa which is just a few steps uphill on the same property because it was not booked during our stay. Our contact person on-side was Gaby and she was always immediately approachable whenever we had a question and supported us in all matters. Thank you very much, Gaby! We had a had a great holiday and hope to come again.
