Staff very friendly and made the visit most enjoyable with limited contact we had. Rooms were clean and you could see bathroom had been improved although shower head was old style. Did not stay long as traveling through but was fine motel for the price and good location for travel by Route 66.

i have to say my stay here was amazing. i was passing thru (this is a "gritty city" imho), and i felt completely safe and well cared for here. the Family that runs the Hotel were awesome. they went out of their way to make me happy. i've been pretty much been all over the country, and these folks do it right! Fantastic value for the price! Very clean and roomy refurbished old motel on historic Route 66. Plenty of space to spread luggage and other bags including a table and two chairs, great shower with instantly hot water, all new furniture, towels, and linens. The only initial problem was that I couldn't get the TV to work, but the manager immediately left the office, went to my room, and fixed the problem within minutes! I was very impressed with everything and highly recommend this hotel!

Where to start: We were in town on business regarding a family member's medical issues. At first glance in the room, it appeared clean, beds had fresh linen, and fresh toweling was provided. However, after walking across the floor my white socks were literally black. With an original 3 night stay, our room was never attended (beds made, trash emptied, fresh towels) even once. The staff did hand us towels when we asked for them, but the washrags were filthy. The breakfast area could be cleaner, but it sufficed. Sleeping was difficult with all of the road noise all night long. It sounded like drag racing. Exhausted, we decided to move to a different hotel. We turned in our keys at 7AM. Nobody was attending the front desk so we continued to the breakfast area, have coffee, and plan our day. Going back to the desk I waited for at least 10 minutes while I knocked on the glass. A man finally came out barefooted, tossled hair, and half dressed. I told him we were checking out and I wanted a copy of my invoice. I had to argue with him over getting an invoice. Apparently too taxing for him to turn around a make a copy on the printer behind him. Once he gave me the invoice I told him no, he needed to take off the day we weren't staying. He refused. I will be taking this up with my CC company and Expedia. Bottom line, the motel looks charming, but DON'T DO IT!

Musty smell in room, unclean. The bathroom had some kind of dried up blood stain or body fluid stuck on the wall. Moved to another hotel as a result of the room smell and dirtiness. The breakfast choice was unhealthy, they had twinkies and the only healthy option was yogurt. Don’t know why this hotel had a good rating, I would not recommend it.

Owners made a good attempt to remodel, but this is a historic old motel on Route 66. If you like the historic aspect, you will like this place.

This place is in a very busy and noisy road. It did quiet down around 11pm but lots of load cars racing up and down. Also walls are very thin. My sister and cousin were next door and I could hear them talking and coughing. Staff was very nice. When my sister didn’t have an iron in her room they brought her one and an ironing board because apparently they had been stolen from the room. Not the most secure feeling staying there. Rooms were very clean including linens.

The property is just cute! Colorful doll statues and giant pots everywhere. The building is painted in welcoming colors and it's very clean. Our room was on the second floor and it was comfortable. The bed was restful and comfy. The shower has a head on it that will expholate your skin. Very different from what I have at home. However there was lots of dust at the base of the walls( found via a UV light). Our front window and door faced the street (route 66) and we heard loud vehicle noises most of the night. I can't speak weather it was the room or just traffic with loud exhaust notes. It was loud enough to scare me out of sleep however. This was just our experience on this one particular night. That being said there are enough good things here to give the hotel another try. I recommend y'all stay here.

Positive: Nice staff. Terrific room. Huge frig, table with 2 chairs so we could play cards, table that fit two pieces of luggage, two reading lamps--all well-suited to two guests rather than just one. This is so rare!! Loved having Nutella at breakfast, as well as bananas and yogurt. Negative: Sandblasting shower head. Whatever eye-stinging chemical room cleaner they used was horrid--we aired the room out and ran the AC for 2 hours while we left for dinner and it still stank. Having to share common jars of jam and PB at breakfast was kind of gross. The neighborhood is not the best.
