Learn about a celebrated children’s author at Handa’s Nankichi Niimi Memorial Museum. Dine on blowfish and octopus after playing at Himakajima Island’s beaches.

Facing Mikawa Bay, Gamagori attracts visitors with onsens as well as special bamboo trees on Takeshima Island. Enjoy waterfront dining, chic retail and a fairground at Laguna Ten Bosch. In Toyohashi, don’t miss Yoshida Castle, the Imo Bog wetlands and the Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park.
