A little bit disappointed when I told the hotel few days before we check in that we are celebrating our anniversary and they said "will do our best to make your stay extra especial" but seems liked an ordinary stay. "Location was great! Safe, convenient underground parking. Easy to go do really anything out and about in Banff, bus stop is right there and you’re on the strip. Our room was okay, nothing wrong just expected a little more for what I paid. Especially because we were on ground level, paid for a mountain view just to have the curtains closed the whole time as people on the street could see in. The hot tub temperature wasn’t very hot, but still nice. Sitting areas and dining options were nice. Staff...

"Had a great stay at the Lamphouse. Very comfortable and clean. Right I’m downtown. Nice hot tub area. Liked having the fan in the room. Refrigerator and microwave was a plus. Good hot water. More than one hand towel would be good. Only suggestion is to paint the big cinder block wall above the rooms by the restaurant. Paint it lamphouse dark gray and have it say “Lamphouse”."

"There was only one clerk at the desk at 4pm, and constantly 3-5 arrivals awaiting check-in processing. She did her best to be efficient, but really should be two clerks during the rush. The suite was pleasant, but it is about 3yrs past its best before date in terms of the furnishings condition. Case in point: the stuffing on one arm of a chair was horribly deformed and your elbow was resting on the internal frame. I drive a 1/2 ton pickup and the parking spaces were very tight. I had to unload...
