“Casa Duro was a fabulous boutique hotel that felt more had the intimate feel of a bed and breakfast. We stayed in the “Marcia” which was perfect for my husband and me and our adult son. We had 2 full bathrooms which was so nice as well a large dining room table where we played dominoes, Scrabble and Uno on a rainy day. The area surrounding had fantastic restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed walking around the lake and The Arboretum and Greenville. The best was Sisters restaurant just below our room....

“It’s a nice condo. I would say the only issue we had was the AC went out 2 times which might have been a power issue on the island itself. Other than that, we had a great time.”

“Four couples decided to go to San Antonio for 3 nights. We loved the property! There were a couple of glitches, but the owner responded quickly to correct them. We would definitely go again!”

“We recently stayed at the VRBO property. While the location is great there is currently construction at the access point across the street which blocked the view of the beach and access. Secondly , although the beach house was beautiful it was dirty in some aspects. The floors were very dirty leaving your socks almost black, the coffee maker probably needs to be thrown out, the fridge also seemed like it hasn’t been wiped down and just overall the restrooms seemed like they had not been cleaned....

“The house is sited very well looking over the lake. Very well stocked and nicely decorated. Only two wishes. A pool. And a closet in main floor bedroom. But we did great without either.”

“The beach house is so aesthetically pleasing. The sunrises through the window were beautiful. The beach house had everything we needed and more. The grass around the property does have quite a bit of mosquitoes though so bring bug spray. It was a really great weekend. Easy walk to the beach and really affordable price.”

“An absolute gem! A great retreat for our community of moms to rest, recharge and have some fun. The pool was a blast, and the house was so clean and comfortable, but the VIEW! Truly a little piece of heaven on earth!”

“12 of us -- 3 generations -- enjoyed the house for a long weekend. The kids braved the pool, while the adults stuck to the hot tub (weather was cool). Trips to the pond and "barn," and a guest house for those of us who enjoyed quiet while the others whooped it up in the main house. Would definitely return for another Dallas-area stay. Host was exceptionally accommodating and helpful.”
