This resort is everything for families. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Look no further in the Orlando area, this is it. No balconies (but this is a safety reason, the resort prides itself as a family friendly resort). Super quiet if you’re on the 3rd level and up (lower levels I’m sure are louder given lots of foot traffic in hallways). The resort was rammed when we went during memorial long weekend, we were on the 10th floor and it was super quiet. Parking has optional garage or just outdoors, which is nice given you pay for parking. Super accessible location to so many restaurants and shopping nearby. You will not be bored staying here. Shuttles are super fast to the universal theme park- very accessible for families. The food atrium is so good, so many options and the food and staff are amazing. Prices are OK, average at about 10-15$ USD per person for a good sized meal. Starbucks on premise for my coffee lovers. Shopping on premise for any last minute things you’re looking for. And the pool is to die for, so relaxing and safe for the kids given 3 life guards on duty at all times for each pool, it’s unreal. Everything is well thought out and organized. Cleanliness is OK- they do not have vaccuums and only mop/sweep so you will see hairs on the floor, just use slippers like we do. Other than that it’s very clean. Super affordable given everything offered for this resort, stop looking and get booking! Thank me later :)

The buses run every 15 minutes to city walk and volcano bay. The pools are nice but it’s a bit cold. The food choices are great and the universal shop is great.

The area around the hotel isn't designed in such a way that the way out of it is apparent. I suppose that helps the buses, cabs & uber get a fare. We walked locally many times to nearby locations to shop-n-eat. There was a helicopter tour nearby we accidentally found. That would of been nice to know via the hotel. We never got a chance to take advantage of the shuttle service to & from the airport, because it wasn't apparent that we had to pay additionally plus give a 24hr notification in advance. We had a water leak in the bathroom sink. The housekeeper was friendly. The pier 8 market needs work. Some of the staff were rude. I got overcharged once for a juice. The chicken & waffles were old. Certain food items are not available all day. You have to eat on their schedules. That's why we wound up walking to the local restaurants in the heat. I liked how convenient the universal theme park busses were. I unknowingly overpaid for the theme park tickets but the agent gave back the $130. So, I rewarded her on the spot. They're real honest people!!! Overall, I recommend this place for a vaca.

The resort was nice. Check-in was really long, but the staff was friendly. Our room overlooked a stunning abandoned hotel glittering with fresh graffiti and trash.

Only negative out of the way first. Unless you’ve a two bedroom suite your room will have a connecting door. You will hear every word, cough and everything from your neighbors. It’s as if they are in the room with you. It’s only because they were speaking Spanish that I didn’t join in the conversation from my bed. That out of the way it’s a nice budget hotel form Universal. I actually like it more than more exotics ones like Aventura. The staff were all super friendly and nice to the guests. The grouchy miserable man at the pool bar was the only exception. They have row very large pools that are shallow all over but this is a family resort. The pool area for tower 1 I was using was very relaxing and a great place to kick back and read a good. The room was comfortable and the bed was easy to sleep in. I used white noise to help me avoid noise. I Will stay here again, maybe with a friend and get a suite so that the noise is no issue. Great bus service to the parks too! Food was mixed, you can make tourself a very nice salad, pizza was good, fired chicken was awful, dry and overcooked. I do like this hotel, it’s very large so you may have a good walk to your room from the lobby!!
