"All in all, great place to stay. I would recommend spending the extra few bucks to stay in an ocean view room, as the other building across the street seems to get a bit less attention. We were assigned a room in the building on the north side of Front Beach Road, no beach/ocean view, but we were ok with walking across the street to get to the beach. The room was fine, clean and adequate to our needs. We unpacked and went to explore. When we returned to the room, some ants had appeared in a couple of spots in the room, which is understandable as we are staying at the beach there are bound to be bugs out there, but we wanted to bring it to the attention of the hotel. We informed Jimmy, the front desk agent working at the time, and he went above and beyond when he moved us immediately to an ocean view room and had other staff members, Marvin and Paul, help us gather our things and move them across the street. Every staff member we came in contact with was extremely friendly and helpful, we were blown away by the service! The property is a bit older, but well maintained. It’s very close to shopping and restaurants, as well as Pier Park which is only about a mile away with tons of shopping and restaurants. I would absolutely stay at the Palmetto again, and recommend it to anyone traveling to the area!"

"We loved this resort! The pirates did magic and balloon animals, and mermaid Misty made an appearance. All of this was a hit with our children. We enjoyed the drinks and the location of the beach. The breakfast was fantastic. Perfect family vacation spot! "

"Property was great convient to get into and out off right off the main drag Kids enjoyed the pool and hottub AC worked great (from up north) even on west facing kinda hot afternoons the room stayed cool I found parking to be plentiful everytime i left and came back (we did mon tues wed stay) Breakfast was just like any other La Quinta (this is prob 40th night we have stayed at in last 12y) t This property doesnt allow pets (unlike most La Quinta) but this time i wasn't teaveling with pets so not a deal breaker ($250 fee for pets) "

"Love this place.. I’ve been staying here for years! The people make it special. Air conditioner sounded like a plane taking off but we stayed cool. It has a great location but the price is getting out of control "

"We had a amazing time! Love the hotel! They let us used all the swimming pools of all the hotel next to us hotel offer beach towels all you want. Breakfast was really good and they give different options to eat. Parking is extra $15 per day. Check out was a super fast transaction.No extra fees! Amazing sunrise and sunset from the room (on the side of the main street)."
