“This beautiful property was perfect for what we needed. Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The pool was great, even in May! The hosts are top knotch. Highly recommend!”

We came down to escape the cold weather for a week of relaxation and visit with our daughter attending University and this place did not disappoint. “Unfortunately we were in town following a death in the family. Carol could not have been kinder or more communicative. Check in and out was easy, the house had everything we needed, and was super clean. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog, the kitchen was well appointed, and the house is at the end of a quiet street. It had everything we needed, plus extra thoughts from the owner, like little add-ons like suntan lotion for the pool. It is quietly placed behind a grand home in downtown Hickory.
