"What a wonderful home away from home! Our room was just perfect. Nicely designed, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We enjoyed a bottle of wine sitting on the dock while taking in the beauty of the lake. Nicole was extremely welcoming when we arrived & very sweet. We even got to meet the furbabies who greeted us with wagging tails & doggie smiles. We will definitely be staying again in the future. If 10 stars were an option we would rate this rental as a 10!"

"For our anniversary trip, I wanted to stay on Main Street in Blowing Rock and that is exactly what I got! It was perfect! The location was excellent. I loved the coffee shop and home store below. We were right next to The Mellow Mushroom and Speckled Trout (amazing!). The unit itself was lovely. Crisp and clean. I loved the interior design and layout. Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The area is well marked so you know where to take care of trash, find extra parking...etc. Very quiet location and feels secluded but you're only minutes away from grocery store. "The pictures do not showcase how lovely this home is. Kitchen was beautiful. Farmhouse sink that i would live to have in my home. Countertops were exceptionally beautiful. Color selection throught the home was warm, neutral and inviting. King bed was very comfortable. No problems falling asleep. Sitting area was quaint and private. The upper deck was a joy. "Really neat place if you want to get away from city life and enjoy peace and quiet. Owners are very friendly and responsive. I wasn’t there long enough to try the breakfast “which upsets me because I’m sure it would have been delicious”. Plenty of wildlife and stock animals that I’m sure kids would love it. Almost stole their cat though. We became buddies and everytime I would go outside, here came my little buddy to keep me company. I would highly recommend a stay here."
