Glenlo Abbey Hotel
5.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (539)
"This is a large property on a good of course a few miles out of town. It’s beautiful and quiet with large rooms and very attractive public spaces. Additionally the staff are friendly, outgoing, helpful and cannot do enough to make your visit comfortable. Dinner at the Pullman Restaurant - in train cars from the Orient Express was special and expensive but worth the splurge. The only negative was being charged 7 Euros for a bottle of tap water on top of many hundreds of euros for dinner. "

The Savoy Hostel
2.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (31)
"Easy check in, good facilities and generally clean. Some guests brought plates and food into the rooms which were left there overnight. Also some guests being very loud at 3am in the supposedly quiet area, when there is a common room downstairs. Staff need to enforce the rules to ensure comfort for all guests. Rooms a little warm and stuffy but much better than most hostels, comfortable beds, storage lockers and plugs/reading lights/usb at each bed."

"Beautiful, historic hotel. Right on the beach promenade and beside the amusement park. Gorgeous view from sunroom and deck. Staff very helpful. A free activity was included every day. While we were there we had a craft beer tasting, barista tutorial and wine tasting. Lots of parking. Clean room with lovely high ceilings. Bathroom was very narrow with a weird handle to open and close. Horrible view out our window of beer kegs so was noisy when they were moving them. Breakfast was very good...
