"Hotel is not the cleanest rooms . Out of date needs improvement on the hotel . Lobby is ok but the rooms are very out of date . Not clean allso . Forget about staff speaking any English or foriner language. Not there even they say they speaking English there is no convenience stores near by to pick up anything . "Large, spartan but comfortable rooms with many amenities for the price. Fridge. Hot water with good pressure, aircon, TV but with mostly local channels. Great location near the train station and weekend market. Also nearby other tourist services and several good restaurants. Typical hard beds and Wi-Fi cut out sometimes. Some stains required too, even when using elevator Even so, this hotel is fantastic value for money. I enjoyed my stay."

"When I take the night train to Trang I always stay at Thumrin because it is big enough to always have a room available for early check-in. Decor and furnishings a little long in the tooth but who cares at this price. Corner rooms have nice view but all the windows can challenge the air-con."
