“The Wayside Motel is a great place if you remember the motels of the 60's and 70's. The place is so clean. Another retro thing is the fact that housekeeping visits daily, which is exceedingly rare in today's hotel/motel market. This is my second stay here, and I don't think it'll be my last!”

“This is a great place! The views from the rooms are wonderful. The restaurant is great too. The beach is sand but then turns to rocks so it might not be comfortable for children to play in the water, though.”

“We had a great stay as a family. We requested two rooms near each other with sinks inside the bathrooms (vs in the main part of the room). They accommodated both requests and gave us adjoining rooms. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. We loved having a lakefront room for such a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable too! We all slept well. Location isn’t far from the ferry docks. The hotel offers kayaks for a low hourly rate. We didn’t get to take advantage of that, but it’s a great……

“Lake view in all rooms. Felt safe..clean and quiet too. Oddly I rented Days Inn on Expedia then got a confirmation for K Royale Lakeland inn. Confusing! Maps also listed the address as K Royale. Address is a Days Inn. This needs fixed. ”
