I was in York for my Granddaughter’s wedding & stayed at this B&B for one night only but the accommodation was clean, breakfast was good & Jason the owner was very helpful & obliging with parking. The only negative was the shower, which was scolding hot one minute & freezing cold the next.

This is a quaint old style Bed and Breakfast, without modern amenities There are many stairs to the rooms with multiple landings and no lift. Not suitable for the mobility impaired. The single room I had was small and very hot ( in the eaves and one small skylight), but there was a fan in the room that helped quite a bit. Staff very friendly and a good breakfast. Pleasant enough, even with the stairs.

A really warm welcome to the property, I was contacted by text to say my room was ready and was booked in quite quickly. The breakfast was noted and booked at check in, making things smooth in the morning, especially as I had an early train to catch. The room is decorated with a traditional style, was clean and comfortable. It is about a ten minute walk from the city walls, is in a quiet residential area and so good nights’ sleep!

Had a great stay. Breakfast was nice and ready for us to sit down at the allocated time. Only thing we would mention was the small shower gel/ body wash packets that were provided weren’t the best or enough for two days. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

Would highly recommend staying here, extremely pleasant hosts, excellent vegetarian breakfast option, clean and cosy rooms. Perfect walkable distance to city centre. Will definitely be staying here again.

Lovely comfy beds, lots of super hot water for showers and a bath. Breakfast was ok, hot and the staff were lovely. Only downside was the pre-ordering-suprised with this that you ran out of apple juice. Easy assess to York centre and train station, would stay again. Thanks.

Jason, the owner, was delightful and very helpful, with prompt responses to the couple of queries I made. Like others we found the heating times a bit arbitary with heating coming on at the same time, each day, regardless of the weather outside. And the shower was very tricky to use, despite the instructions. But overall an excellent experience with the added bonus of splendid full English breakfasts.
