There was no fridge in the room and only 1 chair although there was room for 2. Good quality food in the bar and breakfast was good.

Breakfast area could do with improving as a lot of people around for breakfast and a lot walking into one another due to small size of serving area. Bed was worst I have ever slept in, squeaked every time I moved and very uncomfortable

Hi Jason, thanks for your feedback. Sometimes the breakfast area does get busy especially in the later parts of the morning, but it is available for 4 hours and the quiet time is usually 6-8:30am. We will look into the bed situation and ensure that your next stay is perfect.

Staff was very friendly but we were given a room in the basement because they were full… We booked well in advance but still got a room with parking lot view. Awful room location.

Excellent room facilities. Reception staff very helpful. It was great to be able to leave luggage with reception owing to early arrival & later departure by train. Although breakfast was classed as complimentary, there was a very good choice of cereals, juice, breads etc. The only slight disappointment was with the quality of the cooked breakfast available, largely basic catering products. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, location excellent for the centre of York & convenience of the railway station. We would certainly stay again.

Good location, just 8 mins walking to train station. The room was clean and neat. Staff was very nice. It was a very comfy stay. The only thing I was a bit upset was that the shower was too weak.

It’s one of those hotel experiences that just gets out of the way and let you enjoy where you are. A great free breakfast, easy walking distance to everything you want to see, and particularly convenient because it’s close to the train station when it’s time to go home.

Friendly service and was able to check in earlier than expected. The hotel was in great condition and well kept, the beds were a bit hard though.

No amenities like slippers, toothpaste tooth brush,robes!! Etc etc, even bottled water Have to pay for amenities. Staffs are not so accomodating/ looks un approachable.

The hotel was in a good location near to the railway station and a short walk into the city. The room was spacious, with a good sized bathroom with a walk in shower. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Lovely location. Very handy for all York attractions. On the negative side, the fitness centre was out of action, the parking was very expensive and the room was too hot.

Great value for money
Very very clean. Spacious queen size room. Breakfast fine. Very close to the centre of york only a 10 min walk to hot spots. Good value for money.

Another great stay ! Only thing was that it was half term. A lot of unruly kids and parents who weren’t paying attention or were disinterested. NOT hotels fault. I had sympathy for staff who were patient and tolerant. We had a child with us who was well behaved, so not anti children

Stayed here before, it’s right by the station and very central for getting around York. The staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast sets you up for the day. If you like shopping the city is great but you can also jump the bus at the bottom of the road and go to the outlet, which is 4.00 return and only about 15-20 minutes on the bus. (Which runs very regularly to the outlet).
