Very traditional style Japanese bath house set up vs. hotel. Room was clean, but very small. Good for maybe 1 or 2 nights but not a long stay. You have to take your shoes off before entering the hotel. You must turn your room key in every time you leave, sometimes waiting in line to do so. You also wait in line to get your room Key back when returning. This is very inconvenient. I was also forced to cover an entire upper arm tattoo with bandages even though it was mostly if not all covered by my sleeve even though I told them I wasn’t going into the public bath / spa part. The lobby is very busy at all times as again it’s run more of a bath house / spa. The elevators are also not air conditioned which is not good when it’s 95+ and the elevator is packed. The lobby is on the 7th floor which means you go up to get your key, then get back in the elevator to go back down to your floor. The emergency exit stairways are labeled Staff Only which I thought was odd and unsafe. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, cool arcade and rooftop foot pool, but unless you are going for the bath/ spa part I don’t recommend staying here. I would find a more western style hotel.
