Congratulations, you've found the perfect place for your next couples vacation. This charming 'glamping' riverfront cabin comes complete with a large screened-in porch and private hot tub. Luna Rio Cabana is one of two property suites, set back from the larger home, Luna Rio Main House. Inside, you'll find a beautifully renovated and designed home featuring high vaulted ceilings, lustrous floors, and lots of natural light that cascades in through large windows, filling the home with an inviting ambiance. Use the full kitchen to cook up tonight's culinary triumph, then enjoy it on the wood dining table, in front of the wood-burning fireplace, or out on the screened-in porch with glasses of refreshing iced tea or local wine.

You'll love tubing along Blanco River for a relaxing afternoon and heading into downtown Wimberley for some awesome sightseeing. Want a little exercise? Climb over 200 steps to the summit of 'Old Baldy' then reward yourself with a panoramic view of the Hill Country. For more amazing views of Texas, take FM 32 from Wimberley to Blanco, across what's known as the 'Devil's Backbone' on Edwards Plateau. Jacob's Well (seven miles north) is a phenomenal and popular swimming hole fed by The Trinity Aquifer 120-feet below. The mouth of the natural artesian spring is only 12-feet in diameter and is a popular attraction to both experienced cave-divers and summertime swimmers alike.

Both Luna Rio and Luna Rio Main House can be rented separately/together.

You Will be Scammed
This was possibly the worst vacation rental I’ve ever used. The river view, as pictured, is a lie. The oven was broken. The internet was intermittent causing the tv and cell service to constantly stop. I was charged for leaving some clothes there that they said would mail to me but never did. The Roku tv had no instructions and would not turn on. Their is a mandatory hot tub fee but their are no instructions on how to make it work. There is an additional cleaning fee for no reason. There are at least four additional fees that do not have a reason associated with them. Get the point. I’m tired of talking about this place. It is a property management scam and you will be taken advantage of. DO NOT GO HERE!

Overall Nice, A Few Changes/Additions Could Improve Experience
The Luna Rio is a nice newer (renovated?) cabin in a beautiful setting, not exactly riverside but only maybe a few hundred yards down a nice path to the Blanco River. My spouse & I only stayed for two nights & spent a lot of that time checking out the Wimberly area, but I would have liked to have more time for relaxing in the screened-in porch and hot tub. Directions for the hot tub controls would be helpful, but it seemed very clean & the water temp was great. There is another, larger house on the property, but there were enough trees & bushes and distance between the two buildings to still afford a decent amount of privacy. We only reheated some food and made sandwiches while staying there, but the kitchen seemed nicely stocked and everything was very clean. We really appreciated the ice maker in the freezer! The living room area had plenty of seating & lots of windows to enjoy the views (we saw hummingbirds, cardinals, turkey, lots of deer and a grey fox). Adding blinds would be nice, since you'd have to move a lot of furniture if you wanted to close the curtains at night. In the bedroom, the only closet was locked and there was nowhere to put bags/suitcases except the floor. A luggage rack or two would be very helpful there. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the room had a wall of windows and a door directly to the screened-in porch, which was very nice. The one bathroom was the only real negative. While it was clean and had plenty of towels, the toilet was crammed in behind the door, it needed more towel racks or hooks, and the shower curtains rigged up around the tub to make it a shower were really inconvenient - there was nowhere to set your shower stuff, you couldn't bend over without sticking to the curtains, and my taller-than-average husband had difficulty getting under the shower head. Minor inconveniences in the grand scheme of things, but inconvenient nonetheless. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thought it was a good value.

Fantastic anniversary getaway!
This was an amazing anniversary weekend getaway for my wife and I! We came up to enjoy and explore the area! Wimberley was great to explore, but Luna Rio Cabana stole the show! We decided that the cabana and river access were all we needed and left the outside world behind us! The enclosed back porch was amazing especially to enjoy the sounds of the brief thunderstorm that passed through!

Good stay but a few issues
First, the property is super clean. 👌 well maintained and tidy. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings, wildlife, sun porch, river access and hot tub. Proximity to town is wonderful while still feeling secluded. We did, however, encounter a few challenges. The kitchen is lacking some very basic tools like a cutting board and rubber spatula. I went and bought one because without, we could not have made dinner. The shower/tub floor was really slick and the cold water had a very foul odor, we resorted to using bottled water for almost everything. Its a lovely property but we would likely not book again because of these challenges.

Quick weekend getaway
The cabin was beautiful and spacious. Beautifully decorated and secluded. Not a bad walk to Cypress Creek, but had difficulty getting around the island to the water. (My husband fell trying to maneuver the creek bed. ) There is no place to put your suitcase in the bedroom except the floor. I grabbed the 2 footstools from the living room to put my suitcase on, which worked. There also isn't a closet (locked) so not sure how to manage hanging clothes. The remote to the TV didn't work very well. I discovered the sensor for the remote is actually on the bottom of the TV, and was covered up by the cable box. I move the cable box to the side and the remote worked fine after that. I would suggest to the owner to either mount the TV on the wall or get a larger cabinet to put the TV and box on as there isn't much room and the TV could very easily get knocked off. Overall, we loved the cabin and would stay here again.

Cold Hot Tub and No Gas Grill
Arrive to property and noticed first there wasn't a gas grill - only a charcoal grill. My husband had to run into town to get charcoal because we were planning on using the grill. PLENTY of lighter fluid, so others had the same issue. Checked the hot tub it was 70 degrees and would not go any higher. Texted Kristy and she sent out the tub guy the next morning. After the tub guy came out Friday, cleaned filter and adjusted the tub the temperature rose to a pleasant temperature of 104 degrees and stayed there. Two of the three nights we got to enjoy it! As for the pictures of the river on the website, they are deceiving - that is the river far from the house. Another rental home was close by, called the main house - the weekend 13 people stayed there - that was not disclosed in the bio. None of the battery candles work in the home or outside. The home needs a hotel folding suitcase holder, no chest or table in bedroom - just nightstands. Suitcase landed in a chair in the living room in the corner by the fireplace. We have stayed at several B&B's in Wimberley over the years and usually repeat stay when we like them - but this one we will not be repeating.

Delightful, but don’t get excited about the fireplace
The hottub instructions were for some other model, and so it took us well into our second evening before we could use it. We were looking forward to the fireplace as well, but it cannot be used. The tub is an adorable clawfoot sort, but the feet are a bit wobbly, and so it rocks a but during a shower. It is scary for a moment until you realize it is perfectly safe. Those are all of our complaints—fairly minor compared with the comfort and beauty of the cabin and its surroundings. We would certainly go back—especially now that we can work the hottub! (Maybe a sugar packet under one of the bathtub feet??)

Great location, close to town, beautiful
I rented this place for my son and myself over Easter weekend. As soon as we drove up immediately the location was calm and serene and just gorgeous. Really wonderful, and the property is set right on the river! The cottage is a small guest house on a larger estate. Its really adorable, though a note, as soon as we opened the door the overpowering smell of animal (most likely dog) hit us. The smell never ceased even after I tried to wipe down the floors and clean some as well as air out the cottage leaving doors and windows open. The cottage itself though is warm and inviting, decorated quite lovely! I called the property manager b/c the water (well water) also was pungent and they were very quick in responding (thank you!) Though the terrible water smell (rotten eggs) wasn't able to be fixed during my stay. She mentioned the property owner would be buying water softener system soon. My son is asthmatic so unfortunately, because of the animal smell and hair he began signs of asthma so we decided to leave early. Nevertheless, the location and distance to Wimberly itself were quite lovely! Whenever we left the cottage itself we had so much fun, the actual location is so close to downtown food and shopping! The backyard river was great (although be cautious there are strict signs to stay on property lines in the water). Anytime we left the cottage we were just so happy and had so much fun! If you are not sensitive to the smell of dog and well water it would be well worth the price and the location is a DREAM! Really that is our only complaint the cottage smell and water smell. We did end up sleeping on the porch to avoid the smell and this was quite lovely!
