"Good size for two couples and maybe a child or smaller sized single guest. Two full updated bathrooms are a key feature. Comfy living room furniture and nice tv. Pet friendly (not a gated yard) and great location for kayaking. It is close to the road so it can be noisy. There is ample parking but be aware that the adjacent church lot is very busy with kayakers. Owners are very easy to work with."

Unfortunately our mom received a terminal cancer diagnosis and we had to change venues last minute. I messaged the owners and they were so friendly and kind. "This house is perfect no matter what your plans. Centrally located, it’s close to UK, short drive to Keenland or Rupp Arena. The neighborhood is quiet, the backyard was fenced which was a bonus, as my big lab travels with me. I slept like a rock, so I give A+ for the mattress. Allen was a wonderful host, answering e mails promptly. When in Lexington, I’ll always check for availability here. Highly recommend."

"Stayed here with another couple for a long weekend on the bourbon trail. The property is well located in Bardstown, close to downtown, so you can walk or do a quick drive. The home is well appointed with everything we needed and communication with the owner was excellent. Like other reviewers mentioned, the second bathroom is located through the office. Not an issue, just something to be aware of. Overall great stay."

"I booked this place for my BIL’s 40th. Three nights. It was 6 adults, 3 couples. We could not ask for a more centrally located place. Easy drives to all the great distilleries. But out of the way and peaceful. The views of the lake driving in were amazing. We saw deer and a turkey. You can’t quite see the lake but it’s so pretty from the back deck. When we arrived one of the bathroom showers wouldn’t stop running. I messaged the property manager and she and the owner got back to me right away....

"The house was very clean, she had wax warmers on for a nice scent all through the house. the road was extremely bumpy but that was in the description so no complaints here. the dock view was beautiful. some fire wood would have been nice to have though considering it did rain when we were there. overall a great experience!"
