"I booked our stay at Monarc Ranch for the April 8 eclipse, when we had a problem with our previous booking. We stayed for 2 nights for a family of 4 (including our 5 and 3 year old boys). Despite the cloudy weather affecting our eclipse viewing, everything about the lodging was outstanding. "We enjoyed 3 nights at Hotel Valencia. The breakfast was excellent every morning, as was the service. We ate inside, but there is a nice area of tables on the extended balcony overlooking the Riverwalk. Our room also enjoyed an excellent view. There is also a quiet courtyard on the 3rd floor with a huge tiled feature with water streaming down, and a fire at the bottom. Very quiet and relaxing place to read, snack, or use your ipad."
