Lovely lake house!
This house is great - lovely outdoor space, nice deck, good lake access. Plenty of space for a good sized group, with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Nice fireplace, well-stocked kitchen, and great lake views from the huge window in the living room. We'll be back!

Girls' Getaway
There were 7 of us. We rented this house for a long weekend to celebrate our 60th birthdays. Had a wonderful time and created lasting memories! The house and location were great. We made good use of the well-stocked kitchen, back deck and fire pit. Beds were comfortable!! Lori, the property manager, has a wealth of information and provided great recommendations on restaurants, wineries, and boat rental.

Great guys weekend. Fantastic property!
Everyone in our group thought this house was a quintessential lake house on a great lot and in a very convenient location. Very clean and spacious home and beautiful views from the deck, or hanging out on the pier. We rented a boat (Runyon Boat Rentals) and that was a plus as the lake is great. If you are interested in fishing, we caught enough perch for appetizers for 7 guys, not to mention some bluegill and bass which we did not keep. Plenty of room in the house for hanging out, playing games, etc. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen or on grill, and ate in the dining are with views of lake or on the deck. Owners are very response and made the entire process enjoyable. Lastly, a great location near a few restaurants, grocery, drug stores, etc. Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Lake home
A wonderful stay with my children, their spouses, and my grandchildren. The house has a lot of room to spread out. At check-in we were met by Lori who went through everything in the house and explained how to work things. Very well equipped with all supplies and towels-only need to bring your food! Paw Paw lake is a great area to stay. Beautiful views of the lake from the house and the deck. Nice beach-there are quite a few stairs from the house to the beach, but we all managed. Great family get away!

Wonderful Location on Paw Paw Lake
I grew up in the area but have spent the last 50 years on the prairie of Nebraska. When this property became unexpectedly available it was an opportunity return and enjoy the area, friends and family. This house and property are wonderful. Everything was as stated in the description. Everything was clean. The house is set up with everything you need from potato peeler to towels. There is a large deck overlooking the lake where one spends most of their time. The beach is clean with a sand bottom lake. The dock is perfect for tying up a boat. Lorie the manager, who is second to none, put us in contact with someone who would rent of their pontoon boat, which we had for a couple of days. As stated earlier, I can't praise Lori enough. A couple of unexpected touches were the bottle of wine from a local winery, Tabor Hill, and a supply of wood for the fire pit. This place is top shelf.

Perfect place for family getaway
We love returning to this lake house with our family. It has plenty of space, perfect lakefront access, dock to fish and a space to swim. The kids love it as much as the adults. Communication with the owner is so easy, and we have zero complaints!!! Five stars!

Wonderful Family Gathering
We lost our family cottage of 40 years last October. I did not want to lose the closeness a family cottage brings so I rented. The description of this cottage lead me to chose it but I was floored when I arrived and experienced it. A 1920s oversized gorgeous home with a million dollar view! My two sons, their wives and little children, my husband and myself settled in comfortably. There were little hideaway spots to read a magazine, sip some tea or have a chat with someone you love. The beach was perfect for the children and we rented a boat from a local on the lake to make for an all-around picturesque week. Lynn and sister Lori were so helpful and they made the arrival and departure easy peasy.

Great Stay!
Great place for a long weekend for myself and 9 others. It felt like we had privacy, and it was nice to spread out. There are 45 or so stairs between the beach and house, which I missed in the listing. However, that is really the only negative and it’s not really a big one. The host was great and had a great setup for guests!

Great House for Four Generations of Family
This is a great property, very clean, lots of space and fabulous views! This was a Girl's Trip, first of many I hope, our oldest is 84, and our youngest,l 3 months shy of 2. There was plenty of bedrooms and it was very comfortable. The house has everything you could possibly need. It's also close to so much, St Joseph was a favorite, but also went to Saugatuck, Coloma, and took a ride to Blinkers Diner for a really good breakfast. The little place in town, Watervliet, also had a really good breakfast and a Brewery with several good beers. There were 9 of us, and we all said we would stay here again. The host and her sister, who checked us in, were wonderful communicators. Could reach them anytime and they answered several questions before our stay. You can't go wrong renting this beautiful home on the lake.

a family weekend on PawPaw lake
All members of our family enjoyed staying in this lovely and very comfortable home. We were shown around by a member of the owner's family who answered any questions. The size of the home allowed us plenty of room to gather together or to find a private area to be alone. We also enjoyed the surrounding towns and country side. A very enjoyable weekend.

Spectacular Stay
Six female friends rented this house for a long weekend/reunion. The house and host were beyond expectations. The host was responsible and helpful! The house is so perfect. The location was great! It's a nice quiet neighborhood yet close enough to many charming locations (We spend a fantastic day in St. Joseph). I cannot recommend the house enough!

Amazing Family Vacation Spot
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The spacious living area and plenty of spaces to sleep allowed everyone to enjoy time together and enough space to spread out. The cottage is stocked with everything you could need and more. The kids enjoyed all of the games and the organ too:) The expansive deck, lake frontage and dock allowed everyone to swim, fish, tube, jet ski and enjoy the sun! If you are bringing your boat be sure to bring plenty or rope and bumpers to adequately tie off on the wooden posts of the dock!

Everything was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Very nice pier for docking our boat. Swimming was very good and our group rarely left the water. No complaints from our multi-generational group, but others might struggle with the number of steps to the water. We had a great week and would rent again.

What a great week
We had such a fun week at Paw Paw Lake. The house was the perfect size for our group. Lots of room for the teens to have some space as well as the littles. We brought two boats and caught enough fish for our annual fish fry. The lake is large so you never feel crowded when tubing - which we did a lot of. We also enjoyed boating the canals. The deck was perfect for games and dinners - and the side porch was fun for morning games. We hope we can return!

Amazing House, Great Host!! couple small "Wish It Were"s
My family does a lake vacation each year, and this was our first time here. The house itself is perfect, and the best we've ever stayed at. Plenty of space, great kitchen, comfy beds, nice screened-in porch, large deck - all-around wonderful! We brought our boat and were able to do plenty of water skiing and tubing on the lake. The host was also very communicative and quickly fixed a plumbing issue that popped up. Our only negatives: there are more stairs (47 total) to get from the house to the water than can be seen from the listing pictures (at least at the time of writing this review). And there was a good bit of seaweed off the shore. Our little kids are annoyingly averse to seaweed and were only comfortable wading up to their knees before the seaweed got thick about halfway down the dock. We compensated by taking our boat to deeper water and they enjoyed swimming there. On the whole, we had a fantastic time, thank you!

My daughter was getting married close by, so we decided on this house for us and our extended family. We had a wonderful time. The house was so clean and had everything we needed. The lake and the view from the house were amazing! Lori checked us in and was so accommodating. We highly recommend renting this house if you want a beautiful lakefront vacation!!

Great House - Perfect Place for a Thanksgiving get away.
We did a short stay to get away for Thanksgiving. The house was fantastic and had everything we needed. It is very homey and comfortable and in our case it was the perfect house to just hang out and unwind. The kitchen is well stock with everything you would need and the wi-fi was strong. Very important with 2 teenagers. The living room is huge and has large bay windows that look over the lake. Though a little chilly the house has a huge deck and it would be perfect for the warmer months. It has a good size stretch of the lake with a small beach as well as a dock. It would be a great house for a family with young kids. The owner and property manager were in immediate contact and were very responsive.

Wonderful family vacation spot
This great lake house worked out beautifully for our family of 7, including two young grandchildren. It truly offers anything you might need (we especially appreciated the children's toys, beach items, and the many books and magazines). There was plenty of room to spread out in the house, and when we weren't spending time on the awesome deck, we were having fun swimming in Paw Paw Lake (again, great for young children) or driving a short distance to ride the carousel or splash in the water cannons in St. Joseph or walk the harbor area in beautiful South Haven. Highly recommend!

Perfect place for the entire family!!
Enjoyed out week long stay at this family friendly lake house. Roomy enough for the entire extended family. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for my 94 year old grandmother. And the large queen bedroom suite with the bunk beds was great for my brother’s family and his little ones. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed even the extra fridge/freezer in the basement came in handy!! It was the perfect place to reconnect as a family and we made such wonderful memories here. We fell in love with the location and hope to return to Paw Paw lake soon.

Great views, roomy house
We had a great time with our family of 9. The house is very roomy and has a great vintage lake house charm. The deck is wonderful with huge trees and gorgeous lake views. It was easy to communicate with the owner. The only surprise was the number of stairs to the water. I think my grandson counted over 43. Not unusual for a lake house but a little tough for small children. We’d definitely stay again.

Communication with the property manager and owner was prompt and friendly. The location had plenty of space to gather, play games, eat and relax for my family, children and in-laws. The lake is extremely clean and the beach was sandy allowing children to run and play in it. Plenty of space to bring Pre-purchased food in either the upstairs or downstairs Fridge or extra freezer. A great place and hope to be back!

Amazing Home! Best view on the entire lake.
Lynn’s lakehouse was easily the best home rental we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. Lynn and her sister Lori (who checks you in) were fantastic, incredibly kind and very responsive, thank you! Anyone looking to rent a lakehouse on Paw Paw Lake, look no farther, this is the home you want to stay at, you won’t be disappointed. The home is perfect. Great location, absolutely amazing view, through their massive windows overlooking the lake from the bluff/hill top. The home was perfect for our group. Fully stocked with everything you could imagine, they have it all. I won’t even try to list all the positives, everything was top notch. It made for a very easy, stress free weekend. If we are ever in the area again, no questions asked, we will look to rent from Lynn again. Thanks again Lynn, we loved our stay.

We Loved This Waterfront Paw Paw Lake Home!
Our family of 11--parents, children, and grandchildren-- had a wonderful weekend at Paw Paw Lake. Lori was very welcoming and helpful in orienting us to the house and its many features and charms. The home, its many amenities, and its location suited everyone's needs. We appreciated that the family room and dining room could easily accommodate all of us and we were thrilled with the abundant bath towels, beach towels, kitchen supplies, and beach toys. The very gentle slope into the lake and the narrow sandy beach was perfect for our grandchildren ages 1, 3, and 6, The setting and site of this home is lovely, with spectacular views of the lake from a large deck with chairs for everyone. We did some paddling and driving around the lake and came away thinking we stayed at the best place/spot on the lake. Thank YOU! We hope to return in 2020!

Summer family vacation lakeside getaway
We had an incredible time with our family. There were 12-16 of us throughout the week and had more than enough room in and outside of the house. We took a lot of extra things that were not needed as the house has everything you need inside and out. It has a nice beach area for the little kids and large dock area for hanging out as well as a nice area to dock your boat. It also has a huge deck to accommodate everyone and to allow family activities comfortable. Lynn was wonderful and meet my daughter upon arrival to check us in and give her a tour.

Happy Hilltop Gem
Gorgeous lake views on the massive deck with great sunsets. Loved the fire pit area for making s’mores. Kids loved the pier and sand beach. House , kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked above and beyond what you would expect. We had our extended family over for dinner and the house was plenty big for a crowd .Appreciated the many many towels provided for bathing or swimming . Lori was very nice and helpful and met us and gave us a tour of the property which we greatly appreciated. Beach and outdoor supplies plentiful if needed . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there . Have been coming to Paw Paw lake for 45 years, but our 1st time at this house , as we have grown too much to accommodate all of us at our family home. Thanks for new memories !!! Certainly hope to rent again!!

Welcoming, cozy home with an amazing view of the lake.
The house is roomy and feels like home. I planned a ladies retreat and every one of them loved the house! Lynn exceeded our expectations in having the house stocked with things that guests need. I brought my friend who is also a chef and she cooked for us for the weekend. She was impressed with how the kitchen was stocked. I loved that Lori, Lynn’s sister, met us at the house to welcome us and showed us the ins and outs of everything - so much nicer than just a lock box. We had no problems during our stay. It was such a relaxing and peaceful weekend, my guests didn’t want to leave! There were a total of 9 ladies and we had plenty of room and with 2 1/2 bathrooms, there was never a wait to use the bathroom which is wonderful when you have a house full of women! The consensus did seem to be that the beds could have been more comfortable but the rest of the house more than made up for that! Thank you, Lynn, for being so accommodating to my requests and for sharing your slice of heaven with us!

I was looking for peace and quiet AND I FOUND IT! This cottage is beautiful. I didn't want to leave back to reality. I was so glad to have some thunder and lighting. Coming from San Diego that doesn't happen to often. Watching it over the Lake OMG! Beautiful. The view, the kitchen, I cannot wait to go back! Thank you so much for sharing your home. Our stay in this magnificent home was wonderful!!
The owners left everything we would need to make our stay perfect! Shampoo, plastic bags, toilet paper, towels, and all the toys we might want for fun in the water!! Our favorite thing is just gathering in their warm living room, chatting, while watching sail and fishing boats float by. All communication was cordial and our meeting and tour of the home was preformed perfectly! I wish we lived closer as we would not hesitate to have another vacation there...although much longer next time! Definitely worth every penny we paid...it gave us wonderful lasting memories! Our family really enjoyed your home, thank you for sharing it with us. This was a family weekend that will forever be etched in our hearts and your beautiful home was a part of that. The home was very comfortable and had plenty room for the 11 of us. We even had a day family reunion of about 40. Lori was very helpful from answering pre-questions promptly, touring the home, providing restaurant recommendations and quickly responding to any questions during our stay. Our deposit was refunded within hours of leaving the house on the last day. The house is stocked with almost anything you need even a local bottle of wine and firewood for the beautiful fireplace. Perfect for our out of town wedding!
Lynn and Lori were fantastic! Answered all of our questions and just a phone call away. Very cozy home with candles and games. Plenty of room for our group of 9 with room to spare. One of our guest took out the row boat! We were 20 minutes away from the wedding venue in St Joe. Mostly all highway driving. Only one down fall was the smell of the shower water for some guest. But that is what usually happens with a lake house.

Great house for a big crowd
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lake house for a family wedding in the area. Plenty of room for a large crowd - kitchen was well stocked with whatever you could need. The view from the house and deck was amazing. There is plenty of shade on the deck as well. Owners were very accommodating and let us check in early and check out late. A very relaxing comfortable spot.

Great Home for a Group!
Loved our stay in this extremely comfortable home. Pictures make living areas look smaller than they actually are. We had plenty of room for 8 adults and two small children. Hill to the beach is very steep, but stairs are easy to use. Definitely a property worth coming back to!
