Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Motel is in a nice location, short walk to the lovely Queen's park. Only issue we had was the pool was too dirty to swim in, which was disappointing for our kids who were keen to swim. I'm guessing it was probably due to the fact that there had been lots of rainy/windy nights and the pool wasn't covered.

The shower needed some attention in that the plastic on the bottom of the door needed to be replaced. Green. Someone was blowing there horn of the car early in the morning regardless of others.

carnival of flowers break
Hotel in good position quite close to town and queens park. although an old hotel it was clean and comfortable however room service did not take our rubbish until second day and the restaurant was short staffed and had to wait 1 hour before offered a drink and food order taken. In saying that food was good , just needed more staff. Car park spaces were quite tight if you had a large vehicle.

We really enjoyed our stay last time. Reception is always fabulous but the cleaning let it down a lot this stay. Hand towel was missing when we arrived and then the next day it was only about 1pm but I could hear the cleaners for hours going backwards and forwards and we gave up waiting and went and got fresh towels. When they did come we said we had fresh towels and they took the hand towel we finally got and the new bath mat thinking it was dirty. The air conditioner was dripping and we had to give it a really good clean. The chairs were very stained. The shower didn’t seem to seal properly and was flooding the bathroom hence the need for new towels! Just a bit of TLC required. Lady on reception is a gem though and the pizzas are so good and cheap made the stay salvageable.
