Avoid!
Avoid! Feels like a prison block, tiny room and toilet/ shower cubicle. Shower holder broken, curtain rail fell off when I opened window, flooring sticky. Only small (hard and worn thin) towels provided. One of the worst places I have stayed, should have read previous reviews!

I have stayed at many French budget hotels, but this really was scraping the bottom of the barrel. The room was dirty and there was no way I was having a shower with a shower head oozing with yellow slime! The hotel is obviously being used to house people (and they weren't Ukrainian refugees), who had their washing hanging out of windows and were congregated outside drinking until well after midnight. As a single woman travelling on my own I did not feel safe. Slept very little and got out as soon as I could in the morning. Wouldn't stay here again if you paid me!

Deeply Budget stay
Hotel is located in a suburb of a suburb of Reims, which is a nice city but there are almost no places to eat and drink in the local area so you would need to go into Reims but there is little public transport and if you drive into Reims, your vehicle will need a permit, which has to be bought 2 weeks in advance. Hotel is very good value for money but the breakfast is, er, limited, though cheap. You should be getting the idea by now....

Well needed Update!
Greatly relieved to find Hotel Stars had been refurbished. As I travel with a dog, location excellent, at side of river. However found it strange that some elements of previous hotel kept viz: shower enclosure, toilet seats, ancient plumbing! Hope this will be rectified in the future. Decor bright and inviting. Receptionist was very helpful but indications of nearby restaurants would be helpful? Additionally, could not staircase be carpeted, very noisy! All in all, will be most happy to stay here in the future!

Ideal for a one night stopover
A functional motel in a commercial area, off the beaten track. Nonetheless, the staff were polite and friendly, bed was very comfortable, and perfect for a one night stopover.

Basic, cheap and functional for a one night stay
The hotel was your basic cheap French standard as I expected, but was in need of maintenance. The first room had a broken toilet seat so we were moved to another room which had a faulty toilet flush (it just about worked if you pressed it in the right way!) Staff were very friendly and helpful though. The hotel seemed to mainly be used by construction workers who socialised until late at night but were gone by 7am. The hotel design is all very 'open plan' / 'prison chic' - no doors in between the walkways where the rooms are, and the reception / breakfast area so noise carries. Bring earplugs. The surrounding area is industrial zone but we took an Uber to go into Reims which cost about 10 euros each way. I would recommend this rather than try and walk around the local area to find a restaurant. Basic, cheap and functional for a one night stay, passing through the beautiful city of Reims.
