"I have been to Helen many times over the years. I have stayed in different hotels and in nearby towns like Ellijay or Dahlonega. I found it almost overwhelming when trying to locate a property in which to stay for this recent trip. I wanted the cabin feel, waterfront, privacy, safety, cleanliness, fireplace and outdoor hot tub. "We had made very last minute arrangements to go to Helen for a couple of days and we found this cabin. The place was very well kept and the percect size for the 2 of us (myself and my 15 yr old son). He also allows for a dog which made this even better...she loved it too. This is just down from the main street and very walkable to everytbing, but the hill back to the cabin sucks after a day of walking. We drove in the next day and just paid $10 for parking. One thing to note - the cabin is not on a paved road and it can be a little tricky to go up the hill and into the driveway if you’re not accustomed to driving in the mountains.
