Great property

Honeymoon Ruined
From the pictures you would think it looked pretty great and the fact that it states that it is a 5min walk from the beach was a big seller for us. When we first arrived, I didn't see a beach near it, all I saw was mangroves. When we then talked to another couple staying there and they proceeded to tell us that when they first got there that they had actually went to the wrong unit but that there door code worked in the couple that was occupying that unit, so then we found out we had the same door code as well. That was kind of crazy to me that we could all enter each others units. Yes, my husband did try that theory later, and it was true. The next day I went to take a shower and the water started backing up in the shower, so kind of a concern, but if that was the worse thing, ok but my husband wasn't happy. The next day which was Monday, my husband came out the toilet had backed up and even using the plunger he couldn't get it unclogged. We called the host and then she had the owner call us and he asked us to use the plunger and he would see about someone coming over. They came and we had to wait to get all that done, then it got worse and pretty much in short ruined our honeymoon, and we had 3 miserable days, had to go find a bathroom at 5am to go to one morning because I had to use the bathroom. we were ready to leave. They did put us in another room, and then paid for a dinner but honestly we should receive 3days of what we paid back, this was our honeymoon ruined!!

Lovely and quiet
Cottage was just perfect for us! Everything was clean! Convenient to Key West for excursions. Hosts recommended several restaurants and Tonio’s absolutely hit the mark!!

Summerland Fun
Property exceeded my expectations, property was spotlessly clean, pool was gorgeous and refreshing, BBQ area was a great way to wind down the day and visit. Will definitely come and stay again, and will recommend to everyone. Close enough to Key West to enjoy the day and be back in time for a swim and BBQ, with a variety of beaches close by to sit back and watch the sea and enjoy the day. Plenty of options if you want to fish, with or without a charter.

Quiet and Convenient
Quiet convenient location (30 minutes to Marathon or Key West. Hope was hospitable and had some great “local” ideas. Absolutely loved the view and sunset at “Sunset Pier” in Key West. Sombrero Beach was nice.

Relaxing stay in the Keys
The property has been recently updated. The property is not near a beach which the ad said it was within a 5 minute walk. The beaches are both 20 miles in either direction. The bed was very uncomfortable and there were no smoke detectors in the unit, but otherwise the property was wonderful for a relaxing vacation.

We loved having the pool so close. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. I wish there had been a box spring for the bed. The slats were not comfortable. Hope was very responsive when we had a plumbing issue. It was fixed immediately. There was a mildewy smell in the unit that stayed on our clothes and in our suitcase. Overall, we enjoyed our time there.

Great location and good parking space
Good location. Restaurants, stores and walk access points close by. Also has hose right next to where you park so you can wash your boat off. Inside is nice and clean. The only problem is the ants running the floor in kitchen.

Great location, missing some basics
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location is great for traveling around the Lower Keys. The setting is peaceful with iguanas and a variety of birds enjoying the property. It was nice to have access to a pool, as well. Pros: location; quick communication from the host; good WiFi and Direct TV; comfortable bed Cons: basics such as shampoo, shower gel, coffee filters, coffee, salt, pepper, etc. were not provided; there is limited counter space in the unit; whenever I reached out to the host for assistance, I felt like an imposition rather than a guest

Hidden Hammock was a quit nice place to stay. The room was cute and clean. It had most everything we needed. The pool was warm and very relaxing. The restaurants in the area are excellent. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The Pink Cottage
The Pink Cottage was a good place for the price. We received all of the entry information and cottage details before our trip. Upon arrival we found it easy to access, clean, with plenty of paper products, a well equipped kitchen, spacious living area, and very comfortable for two. We were pleasantly surprised to find two beach chairs and plenty of beach towels for our use. The washer and dryer was a nice addition. The swimming pool was very clean. It made for a wonderful, relaxing day without any car time.😉 Whether we drive South to Key West or North to another Key for activities or dinner each direction was easy to get to and only about a 30/40min drive either way. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Florida Keys and our stay in Summerland Key. 🤩🥰

New Places
Coming to a favorite area you're not always able to book your favorite place so we decided to try a couple new properties this trip. It did not disappoint. The property was beautiful and well kept and the owners are friendly and easily accessible. It's a bit farther down the keys than we usually stay but it was nice to explore a new area with more detail and the proximity to Key West is a huge plus. We will definitely be back and hope to rent all 4 units and bring the family :)

A Rare Get-Away Find In The Lower Keys!
Like one of the prior guests mentioned in their review, I struggled with wanting to leave a review so that others don't catch-on to this amazing get-away spot in the Florida Keys!! My wife and I wanted to vacation in the Florida Keys but we wanted to be away from the bars, the "nightlife" and just have a secluded, quiet, peaceful place to vacation at. This is exactly what the Hidden Hammock resort is! The cottage was perfect for us, it had all the essentials we needed to prepare for all meals throughout the day if we didn't want to go out to a restaurant. The grill by the pool was also very handy, especially for grilling fresh seafood and good cut steaks from the local Winn Dixie. Even though all the cottages were booked, we often had our the pool area all to ourselves as many people were out and about at Key West, doing excursions, etc. We did go to Key West, a 30 minute drive or so away. The closest beach was Bahia Honda, about 15 minutes away. Glenn & Hope (owners) were extremely responsive with any questions we had. The WIFI wasn't working when we first arrived and after we made Glenn aware he fixed it the very next day. Not that we should be using WIFI all that often on a trip like this :) There were days we couldn't get into the pool because it was too cold, but halfway through our week it heated up to a perfect temperature and was very comfortable. We will definitely be back!!

Hidden away, a gem of an old Florida style property. Funky, but Fun! Ample parking, Pool (too cold to use any of the days we stayed), kitchenette was nice & handy, 25 miles to Key West

Great rental. Loved it!
We loved the property! Great location to local eateries and tiki bars and a short drive to Key West. Loved the fact that right outside our door was a beautiful pool! Couldn’t ask for better!

Nice property, great location in keys
We really enjoyed our stay at Hidden Hammock! Great location in the keys. Cute property with amenities. Our kitchen was well equipped for the couple of meals we decided to not go out for. Refrigerator was full size and appeared to be brand new. The washer/dryer on property was super convenient. My 9yr old son enjoyed the pool while my husband and I enjoyed sitting outside every night. Owners were very quick to respond to the couple of questions we had during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

An Excellent Experience
The place is terrific for a family or several families with cozy rooms and excellent facilities. The location is terrific in terms of driving to Key West, nearby towns, shopping center, restaurants, and even a gym at Big Pine Key. The owner is very responsible. I strongly recommend reading the guidance booklet containing many terrific choices provided by the owner.

Great place
It is a lovely location and convenient to visiting friends on summerland Grounds are beautiful with lovely pool We used laundry and that was helpful for the week We had our dog and great place for her The Unit we stayed adjoined 2 Others and would be really nice for a larger group to rent entire pink cottage We happened to be the only guests so had the property all to ourselves

Cozy and peaceful
This was such a nice place to stay , it was more secluded but not out in the middle of knowwhere just up the road from a nice place to eat and drink, it was away from the highway, very quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed the place very much. The unit we stayed in was 3 and it was very nicely remodeled and perfect for me and my mother. Very nicely setup and had 2 entry points and very decent parking. 10/10 would stay here again. The owners were very communicative and there to answer any questions. It was an amazing stay!!

Hidden Hammock is a Hidden Gem
If you are looking for a great price and a great stay then Hidden Hammock is the perfect place. Just off the main route 1 and nestled between palm trees, mangroves and the ocean is this small quiet slice of paradise. We stayed for 10 days and we didn't want to leave. Just 30 minutes from Key West, 10 minutes from Big Pine and 1 hour from Marathon, the location was perfect for exploring the lower keys. The rooms are quiet, clean and cozy. We saw deer, raccoons, turtles and all types of birds just by hanging out at the amazing pool. The hosts were great people and very responsive to all our needs. Just down the road is an awesome tiki bar called Tonio's with good food, NFL ticket and we met the locals who were all friendly and social. Also nearby is a Slice of Paradise that has great pizza and key lime pie, the owners are also very nice and personable. Overall Hidden Hammock and Summerland Key is the perfect place to vacation in the keys. The resort is still undergoing some renovations but we did not experience any discomforts. This has definitely become our go to destination. Thanks to Glenn, George and family for an amazing time.

Loved it!
Loved it. Spotless clean unit, located on a super nice spacious quite property (rare in the Keys). Very nice pool. Would definitely come here again. One very minor downside: the kitchen was very spartanly equipped. No salt or sugar, have counted a total of three large spoons.
