I loved the barn and its surroundings. My only complaint is it was difficult to reach the owner via phone prior to check in. Thankfully I did reach them upon arrival to get the code to enter.

This is an awesome property
It’s just like all of the other reviewers posted, but we’d like to add a couple more things. Alpacas were very friendly. Goats and bunnies were domesticated and would cuddle with us when we gave them food. Saw chickens, pheasants and a peacock - first time our kids saw one in real life. The trail in the woods is fantastic, every 100 yards you would see something that the owners made, a teepee, benches, rocking chairs, a zip line, a hammock, kids playground toys and much more. The stay was exactly like it was described, hot tub was working and the place was well cleaned. We fished in the stream, saw ducks and donkeys and made a fire. Also bought eggs - $3/dozen on an honor system. Oh, we also used the trampoline, the over the river swing and had a corn hole competition. Beautiful stay, would recommend for families with kids of all ages. You can tell that the owners put a ton of effort into this property. Thank you!!

Such an important review! Our farm is meant to be a bit of a destination and not just place to be be go-go-go all over town and then sleep at the farm. Set aside some time for only the farm and family, and then head out to the roller coaster or to a nice dinner or whatever the mountains are calling for you and the fam!

We had a wonderful stay at the farm. The renovated barn where we stayed was beautiful and had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen. The back patio with hot tub overlooking pasture with horses and llamas was so peaceful. The farm animals were so friendly and loved attention and petting. Zip line, water slide, and relaxing on tubes in creek kept my granddaughter busy. Loved every minute!

Our time here was absolutely magical. Our kids loved the slide, goats, bunnies, trampoline, and swings. We only went into town for food because the property had plenty of entertainment. The owner was extremely friendly. We will definitely be back!

Fun around every corner
My family enjoyed staying at this property. The owners have done such a beautiful job adding little features which encourage families to be outside and explore. We really had no need to leave the property and explore the surrounding area because there was so much to keep us entertained. The owners were extremely responsive to our questions. We hope to get back there soon. I would recommend if you are planning to book Fairytale that you also book the unit on the top floor of the barn and invite friends or family to enjoy this property with you. There was a family who booked the upstairs unit and overlapped part of our stay and the sound of people walking above is easily heard in the lower unit. Fortunately, the guests in the upper unit weren't up too late and it wasn't a nuisance.

So happy you found yourself so entertained during your stay!!! Yes, there is an upstairs and a downstairs, it made sense to split the barn into two units so more families could afford a farm experience and we are so happy we made this decision!

Completely Unique
We loved our stay!! Connie and Enrique have done such a wonderful job! All sorts of creative and whimsical additions to the property. Our 4 year old loved all the animals especially! There was a small water/plumbing leak causing a bad smell in one of the rooms (which was going to be used by our toddler), so that made it pretty much unusable during our stay but Connie responded promptly and I'm sure they will have it fixed up very soon. Other than that issue, it was absolutely amazing and charming accomodations and scenery!! 😊

Magical Family Vacay!
Our family had THE BEST time! I have a 4, 3 and 5 month old. The 4 and 3 year old are full throttle from the time they wake up until they crash usually at 10pm or later. This is the perfect place to get out all that energy! They went to bed around 8 every night and I’ve never seen my 4 year old sit so still as he did in the petting zoo with the bunnies lol! I cannot recommend it enough. The accommodations, all the outdoor activities, etc.. Highly recommend bringing your family. My husband and I enjoyed it so much we will be coming back just us for our anniversary. It’s so peaceful and relaxing! Pro tip: bring produce to feed the animals in the petting zoo. The animals are so friendly and docile even with rambunctious kids like ours.

Such a great trip!
My boyfriend and I decided on this place for our anniversary and we’re sure glad we did! It was so clean and there were so many things to do! Our dog had a blast as well. Overall great place to stay.

Amazing property & vacation
We had an amazing time. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the house and the entire property. We enjoyed the swings, trampoline, slide, zip line, trail, and most of all, the petting zoo. The bunnies let us hold them and the goats were so friendly. It was really an incredible place and the inside was so nicely decorated and homey. My ONLY complaint is if you’re a light sleeper, which we are, the noise from the people above is almost unbearable. At one point I thought one of my kids was knocking on the door in the middle of the night, but it was the guests above us walking and/or dropping things. Our sleep was interrupted every night and each morning, which definitely was the hardest part and not really the fault of the property owners… just not much to block the sound from those above. Had there been no one above us, it would have been a ten star trip. Highly recommend this property.

Amazing hidden getaway, can't wait to return!
The property is great for families of all ages! My kids love the animals and the many options for play hidden all over the property. We appreciated the hot tubs, fire pits, and plenty of spaces to relax. It was about 25 minutes from Boone where you can shop/eat/explore. We definitely want to come back!

Spectacular way to disconnect
This property is amazing. It isn't just about where you are staying. It is really about the land you are staying on. We stayed for 1 night and there is an amazing petting zoo and it is a well manicured property with a hill to lay on and soak I'm the rays of the sun. We can't recommend this property enough if you have little ones. I recommend this being a staycation as there is just so much to do over the course of multiple days. The owner seems to continually develop this party and add little nuances to make it even better.

The Barn House/Fairytale House was just as exciting and lovely as the host portrays it on this site! Our children absolutely LOVED all of the animals, giant water slide, creek, ponds, swings, hot tub, fire pit, sand area, and garden….so did my husband and I!!! It was an amazing trip for our family that we will never forget. You could probably explore this amazing property a few times over and find something new to enjoy each and every time!

Perfect vacation for everyone!
We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! The “barn” was beautifully renovated with consideration given to every detail. My kids (even the teenager!) enjoyed the stream and were able to fish and tube! The petting zoo was by far the main attraction for everyone and we absolutely fell in love with the animals. The setting is peaceful and there are so many areas on the property to explore and relax. Connie was great with communication and support - just an email or text away! We highly recommend this for all ages!

Amazing, family-friendly, get-away!
Our family of five had an amazing stay at the barn. Our kids are ages 4, 2 and 1 and there was something for all of us. Our oldest loved to sit and pet the goats, our 2 year old played in the sand for hours and our youngest loved seeing all the ducks and birds nearby. My husband and I could retreat to the hot tub in the evenings and enjoyed the star-filled sky. We spent 4 days at the farm. Connie was kind and accommodating. We brought groceries and premade dinners that made meals easy. The kitchen has everything you need. Laundry room was a bonus! We will absolutely be back. There is so much to explore and the 15 acres are peaceful and full of adventure!

Perfect for any occasion
Even with such a thorough property listing, this home was even better then expected. It was enjoyed by everyone in our group from the small children to the grandparents. The home was beautiful, the furniture and beds were very comfortable, and the property was full hidden treasures. My husband and I enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub, our daughter loved all the swings and the giant slide, and we all loved cuddling with the friendly animals. This is a place we will visit again as a family and for romantic weekends away!

Experience goes beyond lodging
We stayed on the first floor of the barn. It is Really beautifully decorated in a European/rustic manner with great Decor. But the experience goes beyond the barn. My teenagers were very entertained with the creek, swings, ponies, goats, poultry area, slip and slide, walking trail, and more. Thank you for the experience! We needed this outdoor time to reconnect and get back to nature!

Beautiful getaway in the mountains
My family (husband, self & 12 yr old son) enjoyed this rental immensely. The reprurposed barn created the perfect accommodations to enjoy this gem of a property. The inside was clean, well stocked & decorated, and comfortable, and the outside was extremely well kept. Like a little private mountain resort! We took full advantage of the scenery; sitting riverside, (new!) "beachside", the swings, the tubes, and our son's favorite activities included petting the animals & testing the new slide. We had a little luck fishing, and one gorgeous starry night by the fire. Enjoyed the hot tub on our much cooler gloomy day for sure and everytime we walked the property, we noticed something new & creative. You can feel the love & attention provided by the caretakers the moment you arrive. Connie puts a great deal of effort and care into communication and customer service, which we appreciate very much. Can't wait to return!

Simply AMAZING
We can’t wait to come back! We LOVED our stay here sooo much. Adults and kids alike enjoyed every minute of this beautiful place. The beds are very comfortable, the property is clean and beautifully decorated and the farm is just gorgeous. Sooo much love has been poured into this beautiful mountain oasis. Our kids loved the farm animals, the creek, the hot tub, the fire pit, the many places to explore and the swings all over the property. They couldn’t wait to get dressed and go explore each morning and they came back only when they were hungry or it got dark! I walked the paths of the property several times. Lots of beautiful things to explore and enjoy. Peaceful and perfect in every way. We’re already looking at dates to return! Thank you to the amazing owners for sharing this beautiful slice of heaven with our family.
