The perfect little spot
My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend and it was perfect. We had trouble finding the place but I point the blame on our GPS. Once we arrived we fell in love right away. It is secluded and private and quiet and that is exactly what we were looking for. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. Even though we did not use it, we were surprised to see wood, lighter fluid, and all the other needs for a small campfire. We have been to other places and this is usually up to the renter to obtain. The bed was super comfy and the UGG comforter was awesome! My wife and I bought the exact same comforter for at home we were so pleased with it. We contacted the owner a few times and received quick responses. If we ever venture out to the Hannibal area again we will definitely book this cabin again without looking at any other place. I would highly highly recommend staying here.

Charming, peaceful cabin retreat
My family loved our experience staying at this beautiful, rustic cabin! So charming, peaceful and loved the views and seclusion. During our stay, we drove one day to see the St. Louis Arch 2 hours away and loved returning to relax in this sweet little cabin for one more night before our return home. We hope to stay again in the future if we have another opportunity. The Dodge family is an excellent host!

Love this place! It was a little tricky to find, although the written directions from Katie were very helpful. It was so cozy and charming, and the perfect place for our group of friends to gather. Would love to come back in the summer time to experience the lake!

Great little getaway
My wife and I were looking for a few days away from the hustle and bustle. This charming cabin caught our eye -- nestled close to Mark Twain Lake. We enjoyed exploring the small towns nearby, and just chilling inside the quiet retreat. The property owner provided an abundance of information and recommendations for local restaurants and shopping. Everything about our trip was great.

This is a great cabin in a perfect setting. Everything was great, however there was a lot of food and condiments that was left In the refrigerator. Not a deal breaker, would have been nice to see a clean refrigerator. Also the spices in the cabinets were expired. Just an fyi. If you could get Wi-Fi it would be the perfect getaway. Very impressed and we look forward to next year Thanks

Beautiful hidden gem!

Exactly what i wanted
This place is exactly as advertised. A rustic looking (but quite nice) log cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was clean, owner is communicative and the cabin included lots of small extras to make our stay easy. Like firewood, charcoal, adequately stocked kitchen, kuerig and traditional coffee makers. Highly recommended.

Short getaway
My husband and I booked this cabin for a last-minute weekend away for our anniversary. It was absolutely perfect! The cabin is so cute and charming, so comfortable! Two nights was not enough! Between the hammock and porch swing, the huge comfy couch, and the fire pit out back, there is no shortage of cozy places to just relax. The kitchen is well stocked, there are a bunch of movies to watch, and there was anything you would want for outdoor games. We will absolutely be recommending this place to anyone who will listen!

Perfect!
The pictures honestly don't do this place justice. The cabin is perfectly equipped and extremely cozy. I almost hate to tell "everyone" about it at the risk of it always being rented in the future. The only thing the host didn't provide was cooler weather, but I'm sure if they could have they would have! I highly recommend staying here!

A Truly Amazing Cabin For Our Vacation
First off, we loved the location of the cabin! Such a remote location yet close to the road. It was nice to "be off the grid" for 4 days. Our daughters weren't the biggest fans of it the first day but after that first day they had a great time. We played games, went to the beach, hung out with friends staying nearby, took naps, cooked burgers and hotdogs on the weber grill and were able to have some really good conversations. Probably the most relaxed we have been in quite some time. The cabin was so cozy, rustic and charming! We loved it as soon as we pulled up to the cabin, but really loved it when we walked inside for the first time. It was rustic with a touch of modern inside, and exceptionally clean! Check-in and check-out was so easy as well. Katie was so great to work with! We never had to reach out to her for any reason as we had no complaints whatsoever! Thank You Katie for allowing our family to enjoy your Beautiful Cabin at Mark Twain! This is definitely not the only time we will be booking your cabin! Chris & Molly Goodwin

Nice place, nice owners
Katie and her family were wonderful, the place was cozy and nice. We enjoyed the outdoor games available and porches. It really is a lovely little cabin It is a small place for a family of our size (2 adults and 4 kids). I would have liked to know that the upstairs loft can see directly through the floorboards into the master bedroom, which made for tight living quarters together, but we still had a great week.

Cabin is super clean. Furnishings were current and comfortable. Beautiful, quiet, remote setting. It does have challenges no dishwasher, no WiFi, no cable. Not a huge deal though, plenty to do at the cabin. Kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of outdoor games to enjoy. We had a great time, made lots of memories!

Just a quick getaway for us a couple hours from home. Very peaceful! The cabin is cozy and well-appointed. Only downer was Hwy U closure so it's a bit of a drive to get around. Not any fault of the owners and they provided helpful directions

Guy's Fishing Trip
5 good friends stayed at this property for our annual fishing trip. This property exceeded expectations as we were very impressed with the cleanliness. Most of the places we stay that are typically secluded and surrounded by nature tend to be a bit dirty. Not here, great working with the host and several of us will be looking to come back with family in the future. Thanks!!

Very private and lovely. Clean, beautiful property and welcoming people to rent with. Katie and her family left use farm fresh eggs, sausage, and provided charcoal for us to use. The bed and furniture were comfortable. The living place is modern and insect free. It is quiet and off the beaten path, while close to the boat ramp. Lovely little towns are within a short drive if you enjoy antiquing. Short drive from Hannibal if you want to go to a bigger town and see some history. Missoura folks are splendid and welcoming. I wouldn't count out living in these parts some day.

Great Family Getaway
My family and I had a very relaxing weekend at the cabin. My son and I went on a hunt and my wife stayed back to enjoy the serenity of the acreage as well as watch all of the wildlife play around in the back yard. Other than your food/ drinks, which we were only a few miles from the grocery store when supplies were needed, nothing needs to be brought to have an enjoyable time at the cabin. This cabin is highly recommended by everyone in my family to getaway from the hustle and bustle.
