Semi-Private Unit/ Difficult Entry/Exit
The unit itself was very nice, well appointed and in a great location. It had everything we needed to cook and bake. The fresh loaf of local bread was a really nice surprise. At the time of our stay (May 2024) the staircase down to the unit was under construction. The only way down to the unit was a dangerous trail with wobbly steps. This was a challenging climb in and out, but with luggage, it was a nightmare.

Peaceful view towards the ocean through the opened wall of windows. Great room was spacious, well supplied kitchen. Large rainfall shower with good water pressure. However, there is no storage for clothing, so we lived out of suitcases for the 5 days we were there. It met our needs.

Great cottage!
The cottage was the perfect size for 2! Great views of the town. You can hear the ocean from the deck! Kitchen was stocked well with appliances and spices/essentials. It was a trek up and down the stairs anytime you wanted to leave the cottage. Parking was difficult most of the time, but honestly your within walking distance (down a hill) to restaurants, shops and the beach. It had a heater for the cold nights. No AC but with the windows open it was very comfortable during the hottest times of the day.

The view is everything!
Property could use some updates with sofa (saggy and not so comfortable to sit on). The bed mattress was also a bit uncomfortable as it kind of "dips" in the middle. We are not really fussy people, but upgrades could be implemented to enhance the comfort of renters. I wouldn't stay in this specific property again The property works for 2 people and the outdoor deck space is great.

Great place, if an ant infestation doesn't bother you
This property's a mixed bag – on one hand, it's an extremely cute little cottage with a decent view of the ocean. The deck is awesome with lots of space to relax (although the outdoor cushions are in need of a serious cleaning). Well-equipped kitchen, comfy couch, great big table and huge glass sliding door; lots of pro's here. However, there are some serious cons, mainly the ant problem. While we appreciated the vast array of spices and condiments provided by the property managers, there was a big bag of sugar that had been *left open* and was swarming with ants. We had to toss a ton of stuff. Maile was very helpful on the phone and promptly brought us some ant traps, however they can take a week or more to work and so we were dealing with ants for our entire trip. We weren't able to cook much of the food we brought since there were so many ants in and around the stove. Additionally, because of COVID we obviously wanted to wipe down all the door handles and surfaces ourselves just in case, and there were dirt-stains and smudges that wiped away very easily, suggesting that these areas had not been deep-cleaned at all since the last guest was there. We washed some pots and pans that similarly had little spots and bits of food that were very easily cleaned, which again suggests that they had not really been cleaned or even inspected recently. That's a little gross as it is, but given the pandemic it is completely unacceptable. When we called the office to voice our concerns, Margaux picked up and was sort of rude to us. She didn't seem interested in listening or addressing any of these issues in any serious way beyond getting us off the phone as quickly as possible. We eventually settled on a partial refund (which honestly should have been bigger, considering the pandemic and how much our level of comfort was impacted by the ant infestation), and she sent us some rags and disinfectant. If the property managers would hire an exterminator and a better cleaning service that will actually wipe down the surfaces between guests, then this could be an excellent place. As it is, however, I cannot recommend it at its current price. Oh, also – there's a tree that hangs over part of the deck, and a crow pooped on me. It might not be on their property so maybe they can't trim it but... somebody really should.

Cozy cottage in great location!
My husband and I decided to explore an area new to us for an anniversary trip and picked this cottage that looked great for two. It was just perfect! We had planned on hiking and we were walking distance to 2 trailheads. Great restaurants and beach access all within walking distance. The place was just as described if not better. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Lovely cottage with ocean view
We very much enjoyed our stay, loved the cottage, location and the wonderful deck with ocean view. As described, this cottage is adjacent to another one. If both were occupied, the deck would not be very private and some of the ocean view would be obscured by the wooden gate dividing the deck. Property managers did not reply to all emails, but were very helpful when we picked up keys and let us have a late check out, as the cottage was empty after us.

No disclosure about the situation with the cottage next door. They had to walk across our "private" deck everytime they came and went. I would not have rented this property if I had know we would have NO privacy. My wife was sunbathing when the showed up without warning. Not cool. You should have been honest with us.

The rental property agent was a pleasure to work with. She even called when she noticed we were running late to give us after hour instructions for getting our key.

Beautiful getaway
The house is wonderful. Open the sliding wall to the deck and the outside is inside! The deck’s view over Stinson out to the ocean frames the sunset perfectly. A very nice way to spend a few days with my son. Will gladly come back for a getaway with my wife!

A pleasant place in Stinson Beach
This is a well-located, small, clean, well-equipped apartment. Its major drawback is that it is adjacent to an apartment that is only reachable by the other occupant walking across the deck of this apartment. Since there are floor-to-ceiling glass doors facing the deck, if the curtains are not drawn, there is a potential for embarrassment. The listing should make this clear.

Beautiful view
Cute place with beautiful view conviniently located to all the Stinson ahops and restaurants. Could use a fan and/or insultation to help cool the place down. And the sofa bed mattress could be relaced. Otherwise lovely.
