Check in involved a real push by clerk to go to a more expensive room for extra $$, No refrigerator in room. No hair dryer and no iron. Bathroom was really worn with peeling wallpaper and rusty fan. Food was ridiculously expensive. View was fantastic though. Used to love coming here in the summer but will have to re-think that.

Loved the gym, pool, the steam room !! I did not like that we could not buy drinks at the pool, since the bar was closed and the Hot tub. Bar service should be accessible after 4ppm at the pool during off season since adults like to relax during the evening.

Property a bit old in need of some TLC. Room with view of lake and mountains was magnificent from our 17th floor room...one of the best ever in our many years of domestic and international travel. King room great size with walk in shower. Very close to other casinos. Sage and Wolf restaurants were excellent. Walking distance to Loft restaurant and show. Price was reasonable. Good value.

room was as basic as you can get! Only one night stand, no fridge with horrible smell! The people next door were high on meth and fighting all night and day in their room and hallway!! Early in the morning around 7am we heard a knock on the door and next thing we know the door opened by a hotel employee. Once they realized we were there she apologized and left the room. But too late, I was outta bed naked standing there!! Just a weird and uncomfortable place!!!

went specific to eat at Hell's Kitchen. was kind of shocked at the room being so run down. One wall was Blood Red and we kept thinking we walked into a murder room! also no one warned us we were on the allowed dog floor. I love dogs but don't except to be hearing dogs barking late at night in a hotel room. The other thing is somewhat annoyed that you have to pay for parking when you are staying at the Hotel.

There was nothing to special. They told us to pay a little more to get in the newer tower but the “newer” tower look old and the hall was scary and totally smelled like smoke. The room itself was okay. The hotel has no buffets anymore and no place open for breakfast. The casino area was totally empty. It was very sad! Tahoe as a whole was nothing great. The lake is beautiful but that is it. Will not stay in Harveys again. Just not worth it.

Casino was wonderful- well kept casino machine areas with staff wiping down machines and cleaning up trash and removing dirty ashtrays on the regular….however: the accommodations for our two night stay in the hotel lacked. -not as clean as you’d like to see where you sleep. (Dusty, carpet needs better vacuuming, pillows smell like sebum or dirty hair) -poor furniture (dirty and chipped) -luggage holder broken -lighting fixture above nightstand is shorting out when you turn on -bathroom seems clean until you start looking and see that even there is some wiping from housekeeping that isn’t being done. At least the room offers better than the halls and elevators. Just getting into the elevator and seeing the lack of cleaning is apparent and also hallway walking to the room. The hotel room doors are gross- like every door we passed until we got to our room. LOW Standards & shows lack of overall cleaning staff and the supervision to make this place look good and clean. You can’t order food anywhere in the casino or hotel and are told from staff you have to leave there establishment and take you money from there place and go to the angry beaver. I mean what business wants to send their money out the door to another business. They want to charge you a resort fee, which is a daily charge on top of your valet parking on top of your hotel stay and do not even get housekeeping or room service and then they send you somewhere else to spend your money? Harvey’s does! 👎

During my recent stay at Harvey's Hotel in Lake Tahoe, I experienced a mix of positives and areas in need of improvement. Starting on a high note, the check-in process was notably smooth—a quick and easy start to our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, clearly striving to provide a good experience for guests. However, the hotel itself seems to be stuck in a bygone era, not due to its vintage charm, but because of its apparent lack of upkeep. The condition of the premises was a letdown, particularly the walls and doors on our floor, which were dingy and covered in marks. This gave a neglected feel that could easily turn off guests looking for a more pristine environment. While the location of Harvey's Hotel is ideal for exploring the beauty of Lake Tahoe, the hotel could significantly benefit from some renovations and attention to detail. A refresh of the interiors could help in restoring Harvey's to a more appealing state that matches its wonderful surroundings. Overall, if you're not too fussy about modern aesthetics and can overlook some wear and tear, the welcoming staff and excellent location might make up for the drawbacks. However, for those who value a clean and updated environment, this hotel might not be the best choice until improvements are made.

We enjoyed our stay at Harvey’s at South Lake Tahoe. The hotel has many amenities and a great location. There are two buildings at the hotel so be aware which type of room you are selecting. Wolf and Hell’s Kitchen are nice additions to the property.

The rooms are outdated. Not enough plugs to plug in stuff. Our sink kept clogging up. The bathroom was warped. Tv extremely old. No microwave and fridge. You pay alot for nothing. Got a message saying no maid service. We had to throw out our own trash. No happy. When I expressed my concerns to front desk they blew me off and were sarcastic.

The property is dated, but the beds were comfortable. The gambling is hit or miss…as with any casino. Hells Kitchen was fantastic and can’t wait for Vanderpumps new restaurant!

Given 4th floor, outside view had cigarette butts, dirty pillow, pacifier, thrown out onto the roof, right outside our room. Toilet constantly made noise. Heard dog parking in another room. Heard loud talk in hallway and next room. Parking fee?? Outrageous.

My room was supposed to be nonsmoking but it smelled like an ashtray. When I asked to be moved to a different room they told me I would have to pay 40 extra a night for an upgrade. There are so many fees, I ended up spending 250 just in fees. The room was dirty and in need of serious upgrading. There wasn’t even anywhere to plug in a usb cord and the phone charging cord they provided did not work. It was gross. Bed was also very hard.

What sold me about this place was the views we paid for $500ish after fees, and the roof top pool. Unfortunately outer view was covered by the trees and most of our site was the back parking lot. The rooftop pool was not working, we were told to go next door to the other pool at Harrahs, which was by no means the equivalent. We spent an hour figuring that out. Overall it wasn’t what we had hoped for when we booked and I wouldn’t recommend anyone booking the suite with a “view”
