*Long Review* First red flag was during check, it took 15 minutes just for us to get checked in. Idk if it was because we booked through expedia or user error but someone else who came in after be what checked in before me by someone else. After we finally got checked in, we got to our room to see we got a double bed. Mind you I had called prior to ensure we would have a King. When I called down to see why we did not get the King I was told that the other rooms were “out of order”. We had another party staying at the same hotel as us and they were put in a king mind you I not only booked before them but I checked in before them as well. I then called back down there which turned into me having to take a trip down there (because nobody was answering) to see why I was not accommodated when it came to the room versus the person coming in after me. After a couple excuses that didn’t make sense and I made sure to call them out on I was then told it was their mistake BUT the other rooms were dirty & the housekeepers were being sent home due to the tornado watch. I was then given a “free breakfast” card for the inconvenience lol. after getting back to the room they called and said they did have a king & told us to bring our things down so they can switch us. Once we got to the new room there was a puddle from a window leak and the phone did not work. There was nothing they could do & said the manager would talk to us in the morning but they never came. Thankfully it was one night.

When we arrived to check in the front fest charged us $75 deposit that would be refunded when we checked out. The next morning there was an additional $137.00 charge. We were told it was for parking, but we didn’t park a car at the hotel. They said it would also be refunded when we checked out. So the hotel tied up over $200 - when you are traveling on a budget, that is a really big deal. We checked out 4 days ago and are still waiting for both charges to be refunded. The front desk folks were really nice and did their best to help us, but they didn’t seem to have any idea what the additional charges were about or how to help us.

The Hotel Indigo is fantastic, and we would definitely stay there again. When I booked through Expedia, however, I was given the option to purchase parking for $17, which I did. I received an email with instructions for parking, which we followed. When we tried to leave the parking garage the next day, we were informed that the garage didn’t have an arrangement with Hotel Indigo, and we had to pay $40 to be able to leave. The manager on duty at the hotel told us that it’s not possible to pay for parking through Expedia. The whole situation was very frustrating and delayed our departure by over 30 minutes.

The staff was friendly, the bar was closed because the bar tender didn’t show up. I had to pay an additional $75 for incidental but my car was already charged $240 but the receipt shows it was only $195 so where did the rest of my money go?!? When you shower the water goes everywhere, no fridge in the room parking was blocks away and the cleanliness was non existent. Next time I’ll stay at a motel 6…

We booked a king size room, and all they had was full-size beds, half of the outlets did not work. They only gave us one bath towel. When they checked us in, they were rude.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH HOTEL INDIGO OF ST. LOUIS
This was the most horrible experience I have had with booking with hotel.com. When I arrived late night flying into a city for my first time, I was shocked to be told that the hotel was overbooked and that my reservation through a third party has been cancelled. I was stranded in a strange city and had to uber myself around to find a place for the night. I was given a cancellation number to reach out to hotel.com for refund of my money. What about the inconveniece and all the expenses incurred? Horrible experience to say the least. How do I ensure that any other hotel I book through hotel.com will not give me this same treatment? Please, hotel.com, check with properties to ensure the rooms are available before you release them to the public. Absolutely terrible! Someone needs to reimburse me for this inconvenience.

It's a cool hotel! Being that it's in an old building, the elevators are small as are the rooms! It's cute, if you're a couple but if you're staying with multiple ppl in can be tight/cramped. Staff was nice! My wife waited 45 minutes to be waited on for breakfast but no one came so she left and went somewhere else! Overall I wasn't impressed, this wouldn't be on the top of my list in the future!

I was absolutely delighted by my stay at Hotel Indigo. Darneisha (apologies if I misspelled your name), Cassandra, and Lisa were fabulous hosts and made my friend and me feel so welcomed! The room is small but adorable - we knew what we were getting into by booking a boutique hotel. There isn't currently a restaurant, but you can get delivery from anywhere downtown - it wasn't a big deal at all. As for parking (which seems like a hot topic in these reviews), it was really simple - you have to make three right turns after check-in, and your car is stored in a private garage that actually felt extremely safe and not sketchy at all (in contrast to pretty much every other garage I've ever parked in, which makes me think I'm going to wind up on Dateline). You exit through a building right across the street from the hotel - easy peasy to get there and back. All in all, we had a fantastic experience in a comfortable, clean, and cute room and received excellent service from a dedicated team. Thanks to everyone!

Good Option downtown
Great spot near the ballpark and the Arch. The room was really small. but if that doesn't matter, I highly recommend it. It was clean, the people were super friendly.

I liked the fact that the hotel is downtown and close to several places like the arch or the Dome (for concerts). This part of town is kinda run down and neglected some but this hotel seems to be trying to keep up with staying clean and safe. The rooms were small but the hotel was built in 1908.so that's pretty cool.

Dining options may be limited; amenities list says there is a restaurant, but that is only for breakfast. Parking is not valet -- you pull up outside the entrance, check in and get your keycard and parking pass, then park your car across the street. Rooms were lovely. The shower fixtures in my bathroom were loose but water pressure was great.

Hotel staff at front desk were exceptional! Tried their best . However we had to wait an hour past check in to get into our room. The tv didn’t work and apparently hadn’t for over a week. When we tried to eat or get a drink at the hotel no one was around to serve us. Location is amazing for St Louis Cardinals game. 5 min walk to stadium. Parking was great at the hotel. But there was very loud cars screaming down the streets all night every night we were there. Not the hotels fault but something to make sure you pack ear plugs

Location was wonderful. Walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and bars. The room itself was beautiful. However, that is about it. Our thermostat didn't work the first 24 hours. They sent someone to try to fix it. He struggled to find the thermostat due to the amount of weed he had been smoking prior to entering our room. All of that second hand smoke was then brought into the room. He then told us he wasn't sure how the thermostat could be fixed because they were under new management and he didn't know who they were. The solution to our room having no thermostat? A stationary fan that was extremely old and dirty. However, it did come in handy because we were able to open our door to blow out the smell of weed from our room into the hallway for the next half hour. In fact, most of the hotel had consistent weed smell. I woke up at 6 AM from the smell of weed coming through my walls. I'm not sure if it was the hallway or the room next door. The smell of weed was prevalent throughout the entire hotel; elevators, hallways, employee's, etc. We called to ask about the restaurant and bar located in the lobby. We were told that those are both closed "due to new management takeover." We asked if they sold water bottles downstairs and were told that they had none but they had pop. No one ever checked back on us to see if the thermostat worked. Would not stay here again. No one seemed to care about anything there.
