Pongo 3 estrellas porque enseguida de nuestro cuarto estaba construyendo otro cuarto nuevo. Nunca fueron para avisarnos que iba a pasar esto, entonces fue incómodo despertarse con sonidos de construcción, en un lugar donde se busca tranquilidad. En general el hotel vale totalmente la pena, entiendo que lo sucedido conmigo es algo de una sola vez (espero), lo recomiendo muchisimo

Unfortunately, I had reserved a quiet room. But first of all there was building work done within the property which had noise all day. And at night it was very noisy with music bands. It was defenetly not a stay for a person that will like to rest!

Room had no curtains with bright lights from street shining in…. was in unsafe location for children, smelled Moldy and was right beside septic, very smelly. I would not recommend this hotel for the price they charge.

Reserved the total view room which was amazing, 100 stairs up. Sketchy stairs and ramps! Good food, nice folks. Fun international vibe. Perfect beach location. Could not book direct on their web site, Hotels.com made it easy. They don't have quite the long list of rules sent before check in, thankfully

The posada has comfortable beds and it was very clean. The only problem we had was the wifi because we couldn’t access it from our room. We had to go to the lobby to be able to have a stable connection. It’s a good place to stay if u do not care for the wifi.

The Posada del Arquitecto treated us so very well during our stay!!! Every member of the team was friendly and helpful and always ready to share a laugh (even at my bad attenpts at humor in Spanish). ¡¡Nos veremos en el futuro!!

Do not recommend…. Cheaper places that are better
The walls had stains on them. The shower water pressure was not strong enough to take sand off our bodies. There was a leak in the bathroom sink. The coffee maxhine & cups were dirty also.

This place is fantastic. Right on the beach -- the location can't be beat. The restaurant has the best view in town. The wifi isn't reliable but mostly works. If you need to work from your room, I recommend getting a local sim card and using a hot spot. That's what I did for some zoom meetings. The rooms are cleaned five times a week, and the towels and sheets are changed often -- which was great. The staff is super friendly, as well as the other guests. There could be noise from the bars on the street at night and some mild construction noise during the day. I highly recommend the place!

La posada del arquitecto es el mejor hotel en Mazunte con la mejor vista y a 10 metros del mar. Ahora tiene nuevas habitaciones hasta con aire acondicionado y de todos los tamaños. nunca ha dejado de sorprenderme y siempre es mi primera opción para hospedarme (antes ni se podía reservar por internet). amo ese hotel y amo las vistas, amo el servicio que dan. en verdad es el mejor hotel que pueden reservar.

There is no hot water. Also is you stay on the upper rooms you will never get running water, not even cold water, that is terrible. Wifi also is just non existent, terrible service. Staff will just ignore all your problems because thats what they do, they just charge you and dont care about anything else, also they only take cash, no card no transfer.

I've stayed many times at this place, when it was run by the owner, Alessandro if I remember correctly, but had not been here in a while. The spot is very nice, but the standards have fallen terribly: - Upon checking in, I found the floor and walls in my shower full of dirt and hair - Upon waking up on the second day, I discovered that I had been stung by fleas and other aggressive bed bugs, several days later the sting marks are still big - Upon reporting this to the front desk, and showing a few stings to the person in charge, he asked arrogantly if "these were the only stings?", apparently this was not serious enough a problem to report. As I had others, he condescended to have the problem addressed, obviously no excuse was ever on offer. - A few days before my arrival, a couple of very dear friends had lunch in the Posada. They were so poorly and arrogantly treated that they declined to come back, quite an embarrassment. - To be fair, a few individuals in the staff were absolutely nice, the place continues to be very pleasant and so is the spot and the beach at the front, but under such circumstances I can’t possibly see why I would ever want to stay there again.

Hola Sellim, lamentamos que haya tenido una mala experiencia en la posada. En referencia a sus picaduras en las piernas, le aparecieron al tercer día de estar hospedado con nosotros, si hubiese sido un problema de pulgas en la cama, las hubiera tenido desde el primer día. La persona que había en recepción al que usted le transmitió el problema, paso el comunicado a limpieza y pasaron a fumigar el colchón y cambiar sus sabanas. Saludos

Probably the best hotel in Mazunte. That being said... Mazunte is not a fancy place. The room don’t have AC, wifi is sketchy and there is only cold water. So if your goal is to find a beach town and get away from everything this might be the place. Both restaurants onsite are very good.

Too noisy for me
The staff isn’t very friendly. The room was clean though. It’s VERY LOUD! All the time! Ur on top of bars and the Main Street so the noise never stops. It’s filled w super young wanna be hippies and posers. The room had no shade and a barely working fan. And u have to walk up a small hill to get to all the rooms which was annoying. Only good side is that it’s on the beach but the beach is always really crowded

Piece of paradise
Great location, right on the water. Very good food available...in fact, it seemed that non-guests loved to hang out at the cafe for the location, food, and great vibe. Negatives: no hot water, AC, tv....but I didn’t need that stuff anyway. The WiFi is temperamental...the room PW is different from the restaurant PW which is different from the check-in area, so it took me a day to figure it all out. Then again, it’s in paradise so it’s good to get off your phone.

What a beauty
The posada is a great place. Only one remark. In the room they only had two shampoos tubes. No shower gel, no soap, no conditioner. It would be better if they could take care of these kitties details. That’s all

No regresaría
No hay agua caliente, el hotel no tiene este servicio. El llevar carro es un fastidio porque tienes que andar avisando que vas a salir o vas a entrar y se tardan años en irte a abrir. El internet es una porquería, no sirve en ningún lado y en las habitaciones no llega ni la señal propia del teléfono. No vale en lo absoluto el precio por lo que recibes.

Lamentamos que haya tenido una experiencia tan mala en nuestro establecimiento y por otra parte también le agradecemos que no regresen a la posada. Pero como bien indicamos en nuestro anuncio no tenemos servicio de agua caliente. Con el estacionamiento no habrían tenido problemas si ustedes hubiesen respetado el espacio de las plazas para estacionar. Y en referencia a la señal de teléfono e internet en Mazunte tenemos, a pesar de que parezca increíble, fallas en las redes de comunicación y por lo tanto no depende de nosotros.

Hi, unfortunately we got a room (Zen 4) that smelled awful as there was mold in the bathroom. I actually think we might have risked our health. I don't think they should rent this room. In addition it was next to construction site of two new rooms, which did not make the stay nicer.

Esta muy bien ubicada a unos metros de la playa , algunas habitaciones tienen vista al mar y balcón con hamaca con el caso de la nuestra, afuera hay mucha variedad de restaurantes tiendas etc , la habitación muy cómoda con mosquiteros en las puertas y aire acondicionado, hay una cafetera disponible en la habitación, el baño muy bien, tiene caja fuerte, la atención muy bien y la limpieza también, dentro de las instalaciones hay un restaurante y bar súper bello con vista al mar, comentarios adicionales, se escucha mucho el oleaje del mar , en nuestro caso si nos gusta pero habra quienes no especialmente en la noche, y la entrada es a pie en pendiente

Buena opción ubicación/servicio por precio
Es la tercera vez que nos hospedamos mi familia y yo ahí. Han habido servicios que han mejorado como el agua caliente, sin insectos/hormigas dentro de la habitación, etc; aunque también han habido algunas deficiencias como la calidad del internet (cuando se les informó a recepción no se dio seguimiento hasta que nos apoyó el guardia en "resetaear" el módem). También notificamos falta de hamaca y mal funcionamiento de la caja fuerte, hasta que comentamos que queríamos hablar con el encargado o supervisor para solicitar descuento por falta de los servicios fue que actuaron de inmediato en resolver las faltas. Aun así considero que es una muy buena opción con respecto a precio/ubicación y servicios, es de tener paciencia como en todo Mazunte ya que el ritmo de vida es más lento y tranquilo.

Ciertamente hay puntos del servicio que tenemos que mejorar como la calidad del internet que ha sido nuestro dolor de cabeza ya que en esta región es generalmente deficiente, esperamos estabilizar este servicio ya que estamos conscientes de lo importante que es contar con un internet eficiente. no aceptan efectivo y en la reservación por Expiedia no lo decia. Esto fue un gran problema para mi en la planificacion de las vacaciones. Ademas me pidieron una identificación oficial para entregar el contrl del aire acondicionado y no se la regresaron ami esposa en el check out creando otro gran problema. Ademas tenin una obra super ruidosa y no se podia descansar en el cuerto durante el dia

Hola gracias por tu comentario, lamentamos mucho su experiencia, el reglamento se le envía en automático en su chat por este medio el día que hace su reservación, puede corroborarlo y en el apartado de INGRESOS Y HORARIOS #6 especifica que no cobramos con tarjeta, le ofrecemos una disculpa nuevamente ya que le ofrecimos cambio de habitacion y no lo aceptaron y por eso le hicimos un reembolso significativo y le consideramos hacer su check out 1 hora después por todo lo ocurrido y por las molestias ocasionadas, lo sentimos mucho y respecto a su credencial lamentamos el inconveniente fue un descuido del el personal, Tomamos sus comentarios con el fin de mejorar y mejorar la experiencia.

No es la primera vez que me hospedo en este hotel, sin embargo, esta experiencia no fue agradable. Mis audífonos inalámbricos desaparecieron de mi habitación, no consideré necesario meterlos en la caja de seguridad junto con mis demás cosas de valor y en el segundo día ya no estaban en mi bolso. El hotel no quería hacerse responsable pues no declaré mis pertenencias y solo respondió con una compensación simbólica. Por otro lado, no tenía muy buen mantenimiento pues en varias ocasiones la habitación se quedó sin agua mientras usábamos la regadera. Cuando llegamos a la habitación el piso tenía una especie de aceite, pedimos que por favor fuera alguien a limpiar pues era peligroso, muy resbaloso. No recomendaría esta experiencia a otros usuarios.
