If I could give 6 stars I would! Room was beautiful and clean, very spacious. Restaurant was excellent. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They are very helpful in planning winery visits or dinner reservations. The spa was a wonderful treat. Grounds were beautiful to walk and many spaces to sit outside with wine.

Very disappointed with service, The waiters at the restaurant were very rude, there were 10 of us and they ignored us for about half an hour, they wanted us to order from a menu that had almost no options and they gave us the menu very reluctantly, we felt mistreated. The food was too pretentious for the service offered and the price. I would not go back.

Amazing property but the staff need training. Dinner was very good as were the staff at dinner. Staff for all other meals were below average. The hotel booked us a visit to a local vineyard and when we asked for directions they sent us in the opposite direction. Luckily we asked someone and went back. When we complained at reception the receptionist said it’s not our fault it was google!! The vineyard is actually only 100 yards up the road from them and we felt they should have known which way to go !

This is a beautiful chateau with overall very good service. It would have been perfect if not for an event that I don't believe was handled well. The AC for the entire property broke during a heat wave on the first day of our stay rendering the inside of our room 85F/29C in the middle of the night. We weren't notified of this until after we made a complaint - a fan was initially offered then we were told they are out. We tried to open the windows but experienced a bug takeover within minutes so we had to shut them. We were unable to sleep both nights due to this - for $500 a night, the property should have gone out and bought a fan for each room and/or offered a substantial discount/credit. I requested 100 euros be removed from our bill at the end due to the terrible sleeping conditions which was granted, but overall the staff was not apologetic and I felt more than 100 euros was warranted given the price of the room and severity of the inconvenience.

Excellent property for visiting St. Emillion and Pomerol. Also, the restaurant is top-notch. Shame we only had one night there as the spa and other amenities looked to be very good as well, but we weren't there long enough to enjoy them.

Good stay
Good stay. Not a five star hotel. We were not welcomed at the door. We had to request help with our luggage. Dining options are really really limited. It’s a good location for Saint Emilion. Staff in restaurant were great, very friendly. Deluxe room was well appointed, spacious, nice bathroom, great view.

Mixed feelings
The hotel building and facilities are excellent. We visited for a short break after our wedding and got off to a great start - friendly welcome, tour of the hotel and a lovely card and flowers in our room. However from here the experience did decline slightly. Whilst the front of house staff continued to be helpful and friendly, those in charge of the restaurant and terrace area were less than polite, forgetting to refill drinks at dinner, seeming to be constantly rushed and on 3 occasions after we sat in various seats around the terrace/gardens rushing towards us and saying we couldn’t sit there. Despite the seats not being reserved at all. This was a rude and embarrassing conversation each time. We did mention this to the manager who met with us and apologised - however the next day we checked out with over €300 extra on our bill which we had to have removed. All of these are honest mistakes I’m sure, but for a 5* resort you don’t expect them to happen - certainly not that many times.

The property is beautiful, and our room was also beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The shower and tub were lovely. However, we were there during a heat wave, and the air conditioning was not very good. The staff checked it twice so it was functioning properly; however, it was very weak and the room remained hot. This led to a poor night's sleep. Otherwise, it is a beautiful and well-maintained property, with a very kind staff. Be aware of this if you go during a hot period, and you prefer a cool room.

Disaster, worst overall stay in europe
We’ve been traveling abroad for 5 weeks and this is the first hotel that was unapologetic about under delivering on our guest experience almost to a point of oddly taking pride in it. They admitted to having AC that couldn’t keep the rooms cold or even tolerable and said there was “nothing they could do about it” yet didn’t offer anything to make up for the fact that you had to sweat through the entire evening, not even a comp breakfast or croissant as an apology or a more appropriate bill reduction, instead charged us for the 2 drinks we had at the pool because they called us after we booked and said we couldn’t enjoy the restaurant for lunch or dinner because it was sold out. Even more odd, as a hotels.com VIP breakfast was actually included, yet they enforced that it was not, LOL! The only thing I would change of this entire vacation, would be avoiding the out of touch staff at this property. They are the epitome of providing the opposite of guest satisfaction. The property on its own is amazing, unfortunately ruined by people who don’t understand anything about the hospitality buisness. Stay somewhere else!

We had a wonderful stay. Service was excellent. From the welcome to check out, we had a seamless experience. Our room was receltly renovated and very comfortable. The view of the vineyards was beautiful. Property was well kept. Pool and spa area came handy im the warm afternoons. Our dinner was delightful. Breakfast was included and featured local pasteries. Overall great stay and close to wineies and town of St. Emilon.

It’s a beautiful property and super close to downtown St Emillion. The breakfast buffet is a little lacking in comparison to previous years. They do offer charging for EV’s which is nice and ample parking for other cars. Pool is nice to relax and bicycles are available for a nice adventure

I stayed two nights. My room was in the main chateau. The bed was comfortable and the room was laid out very well. The restaurant was excellent. Room service was quick and the food quality was good. The spa services were great. They also had electric bikes for rent so I could ride to St Emilion. Overall, a wonderful and luxurious hotel.
